O'raion Public Library / Caught up in my thoughts [open evening]
« on: March 01, 2013, 10:12:51 pm »
Mika sat at the back of the library, curled up in her favorite chair.  Her mind spinning in its own thoughts much as it always seemed to do.  Sighing she leaned her head back, her thoughts jumping from Hunter, to shinji, to her father, to killik.  She looked at her hands, almost as if measuring what they could do.

O'raion Mountains / Above the clouds? [open, night, mountain top]
« on: February 18, 2013, 12:18:55 am »
Mika sat atop the mountain, staring up at the stars.  Coming to her favorite thinking spot she she leaned back against a rock, her wings curled behind her.  The fog that coated the island made her uneasy.  Thinking if she went high enough she could get above it, she had come here.  Running her hands through her hair she sighed and stared into the dark.

It was dark, even for the time of night.  The stars were hiding behind a thick layer of dark clouds.  It was the darkness and the mountain that had drawn her here.  Lying across a boulder her eyes closed, in almost a meditative mindset.  She knew the darkness and the shadows were swirling around her.  All the while in her hands she held a small sphere of light.  A small scowl crossing her face as she felt her two elements battle for dominance.  The shadows soon began to encroach upon the the sphere, as she funneled her energy into it.  After holding the delicate balance for as long as she could she let the energy disapate in a flash of light followed by an intense darkness.  She opened her stormy eyes and stared up the sky.

Mika and Killik appeared in a swirl of shadows in the middle of the library.  "Well this is the library.  There are books on most anything that you could think of here."  She smiled looking around at the aisles of books.

Black Forest / Running through the shadows [semi open, evening]
« on: January 23, 2013, 10:16:30 pm »
Mika walked through the darkness of the forest, weaving in and out of shadows.  It felt right today.  She couldn't get a solid focus on any one thought, her mind was just running through the shadows.  After wandering for what could have been hours she stumbled upon a large tree.  Leaning against the trunk she slid down to the ground.  Closing her eyes and leaning her head back she sighed and pulled her knees in closer.

O'raion Mountains / Thoughts on the wind [open, evening]
« on: January 18, 2013, 10:17:13 pm »
Mika sat atop the mountain on her favorite boulder, her violin at her side, untouched for the few hours she had been here.  Dressed in layers the chill of the air had settled into her skin.  Breathing a soft sigh she watched the clouds.  She knew one had left, she could tell.  She wanted to just sit and think, about everything.  Let her mind become clearer.  If those who knew her were surprised that she would choose this place, she would have been shocked.  The mountain top might as well have been her second home.  Running her hand through her hair she closed her eyes and listened to the wind.

O'raion Forest / Reflections (Open, waterfall, evening)
« on: January 09, 2013, 11:52:08 pm »
A figure walked across the rocks at the top of the waterfall.  If the wings didn't gave away who it was, the long silvery white hair glistening in the rising moonlight probably did.  Taking careful steps as she made her way to a small boulder that she often sat on.  Her eyes on the water she watched her reflection stare back at her.  Reaching her spot she sat down and sighed.  Leaning back she closed her eyes and looked up at the sky.  Humming a light melancholy tune she let her thoughts drift with the water or the wind.

O'raion Mountains / To dream in black and white [open, afternoon]
« on: December 28, 2012, 03:48:44 pm »
Mika crept quietly up the mountain.  The sound of twigs breaking from the animals making her slightly jumpy.  No matter what happened, she always seemed to end up on the mountain when she needed to think.  It was like it called to her when she needed space, or needed to clear her head.  With careful footing she made her way to her favorite boulder and pulled a blanket out of her bag.  Wrapping it around herself carefully she closed her eyes and leaned back against the rock.

She hadn't really come fully back to her stability yet.  She still had a lingering headache caused by her own ceasing thoughts.  The constant racing, though quelled some, still plagued her as time wore on.  She played with the leather around her wrist, scared to take it off since Hunter had placed it there.  Knowing what happened...didn't make it any better.  She knew now, things she almost wish she hadn't.  Shinji was...he had....she sighed and curled tighter.  At least Hunter had come and taken her home, otherwise she might still be curled up in that coffee shop.

Housing Area / Voices soft as thunder [closed, following cake, tea..]
« on: December 23, 2012, 01:54:56 am »
Mika had come with Hunter back to the house.  The way back had been fairly quiet, mostly due to her hesitation to speak.  The thoughts and emotions in her mind quieting some as they made their way away from Silver City.  She was still shaking softly as they arrived home, most noticeable in her hands and wings, despite her attempts to quell it.  As they walked in she made her way directly to the couch.  She curled her arms around her knees and leaned into the cushions of the pillows.  Soup, movies, and surprises, the few things that her mind was holding onto right now.

O'raion Public Library / A mishap [open-ish, library, night]
« on: December 17, 2012, 11:08:08 pm »
Mika's head hurt.  Everything was swirling around since she had met back up with Shinji.  She had originally planned on avoiding him so she didn't hurt him again, but that didn't seem like it was going to work anymore.  Sighing she wandered aimlessly through the shelves, ending up in the restricted section without even realizing it.  Figuring she could pick up a book to read and ease her mind, she grabbed whatever was closest to her and headed back to the reading area.  The markings on the book looked old and intricate, and she smiled.  She had always loved to read.  Curling up in a chair under a blanket in the corner she opened the book.  Seeing markings she didn't recognize, she squinted her eyes trying to read the strange markings.  Watching the markings swirl to the point that she seemed to be able to read them, she spoke the words aloud.

As she strained to read and speak the words her head began to hurt.  Rubbing her temple she tried to get the pain to stop.  However with each passing second it got more and more intense.  The book fell to the floor as her body jerked in pain.  Closing her eyes shut she wrapped those black wings of hers around herself and curled up on the chair.  Kneading at the temple with her padded fingers.  Groaning loudly as the pain spread through her body, she bit back a scream.  "What....is going on."  She got out broken words before her world blacked out.  A dark glow encased the angel, before fading away.  A small bit of movement could be seen under the blanket.

Mika walked slowly around the path, humming lightly trying to keep herself going.  She held her stomach, the blood not showing through very much on the dark fabric, but her hands where she held the wounds were stained red.  Blood trickled down her arm and leg, and she winced internally as she walked.  The faint blue still rimming her eyes as if keeping a watch on the angel as she tried to make her way back.

O'raion Beach / A little fall of rain [open, afternoon]
« on: December 08, 2012, 03:11:44 pm »
As the sky opened up and the rain started to come down, a delicate form walked the beach.  Mika sighed lightly as the rain started to soak into her clothes.  Wearing a dark pair of jeans, a red turtle neck, and a dark coat, she walked along the beach.  It was cold, being that time of year, but still she walked with her pant legs rolled up and the ocean lapping at her ankles.  Her hair was pulled back lightly as she thought.

O'raion Mountains / Complaints of Violins [open, evening]
« on: November 25, 2012, 10:19:44 pm »
Mika wandered up to the mountain top.  She spread her wings and fluttered to the top of the tallest boulder.  She didn't want to think anymore, she wanted to turn her mind off.  Seeing her father had brought too much back, and she hadn't been sleeping well.  Flashes of the past and nightmares had started to pass through her mind as she slept again.  She shook her head lightly, she didn't want to talk.  Very few people, if anyone would be able to draw her from her current mood.  Instead she pulled out her violin and began to play.  The music swirling around her and taking her mind off of anything other than the music.  Her eyes remained closed as she let the music be the only thing in her mind.

As the music continued she became completely wrapped up in it.  She knew if the nightmares got bad again, she knew how to face them if she needed.  Her fingers danced over the frets as the bow moved effortlessly across the strings.  Her stormy eyes closed as her chin rested on the instrument.  The breeze flitted through her feathers peacefully.

O'raion Mountains / Night Air [semi-private, night, mountain top]
« on: November 19, 2012, 10:03:31 pm »
Mika sat at the top of the mountain swinging her feet back and forth as she sat at the edge of a boulder.  Running her fingers through her hair with a sigh, she let her mind wander the one place she hated it to go.  To her past, she spend most of her time trying to hide from it, but it seemed unavoidable as of late.
