Ren appeared in the Forest of Embers. This place seemed all too fitting, seeing as he wouldn't seem Homura for a while. He sat in a tree, laying back silently, and looking at the sky. His chakra was flaring a bright green, and he closed his eyes.
-
Bii appeared on the branch adjacent to him. Her eyes blankly staring into the fiery sky."You seem....lost."
-
Rem looked at Bii, too tired to argue. He sniffled a bit. then shoo his head.
"She left.." He said quietly.
-
A cripple of pain spawned in Bii's chest. Was this guilt? Seeing the way Ren was...troubled her, but something made her curious. There was a new spark in his chakra. "She'll return. The lizard doesn't seem like the type to quit so easily."
-
His eyes were red, swollen, and puffy. He looked at her, shaking his head.
"Are you happy? You got what you wanted."
-
His chakra burned. It unnerved her, which wasn't a simple task. Bii scoffed and body flickered from where she was to where he was, so that she could wrap him in her arms from behind. "I am." She said tentatively."But I can sense that you're not."
-
"No, I'm not, but I know I won't see her for a while. She's gone.." He said, leaning into her slightly.
-
Bii had done an endless number of questionable deeds. Deeds which were questioned by others, but never herself. She didn't need to question them all the logic she needed came from within her. Her intangible mind was her greatest asset. Atleast that's what she'd always felt, but now hearing Ren's voice....she had committed acts not only against Homura, but her Koibito as well. She hugged him tighter. "I've always said that I loved you. My attachment to you is a strong one...I'd do anything for you. I'd destroy worlds if you willed me to do so, but it seems that...my loyalty to you isn't as strong as my loyalty to my own desires. I acted selfishly. You were happy and I destroyed it. You're own happiness should of been more important to me than my own. You're the only person...who has ever shown me affection." She hugged him tighter then let go and jumped to a nearby tree branch. "I'm sorry." her back was to him. "I will remove myself from your life and return to the 5 great nations."
-
Ren blinked and his arms wrapped around her, hugging her back. His hand automatically ran through her hair, and just for a second, he had a flashback of the time he spent with Bii. He took a deep breath before staring at her, in a sort of daze. "It's okay. I know you love me. You just have odd ways of showing it. I love you too. Not in the way that I used too, but I do." He said with a smile.
-
Bii's golden orbs, eyes, were locked by Ren's as his chakra began to vibrate intensely. Her's began to mimic his in precise synchronicity. Her body tingled as he ran his fingers through her hair. She couldn't resist his magnetic form and planted her lips on his, while cupping his face in her soft tender palms.
-
As soon as their lips touched, he pulled away slightly, ending it as soon as it started. He blinked at her again, this time steeping a few feet away.
"No. I can't. Even though Homura isn't here right now, she is my fiancee. I intend to stay faithful." He said, followed by a nod.
-
His words incited rage within Bii, before she realized it the haito blade was in her hand and her eyes were wild with killing intent. An instant later she began to sob. She dropped the blade. Looking up into the sky, she spoke. "Faithful? You don't know the meaning. You were with me first. And now you're engaged to her. Where was your faithfulness then?" She paused then demanded. "Answer me."
-
Ren looked at her, with another sigh, she was in his arms. Just like old times. He tried to use his chakra to calm her.
"Damn it Bii, where were you? I looked, and I looked. I couldn't find you. I looked everywhere. You **** disappeared! How do you think that made me feel? You not telling me where you were. Not saying a damn word. For a year! Who does that?!!"
-
Bii's mouth opened then shut. A wall in her mind kept her from completely answering his question. "How long I was gone...is irrelevant. I would have waited for you for an eternity."
-
"It's irrelevant? I see. After everything that had just happened, I thought we could be truthful with each other apparently, I was wrong." He said, standing up.
-
"Ren...I...." The genjutsu in her mind and the year of memories that was lost to her came back in fuzzy breaks. She held her head as if in pain and dropped to her knees.
-
Ren felt the spike in her chakra and turned around, raising an eyebrow.
"Something wrong?"
-
She stood up. "I'll make things simpler for you and disappear from your life."
-
For a minute, his face held a look of hurt. Again, shutting down, he turned around, facing away from her.
"If that's what you want. I won't stop you."
-
Body flickers away.
-
Ren sat on the floor, looking at the sky. It hadn't been that long, but he missed her. He missed her warmth. Her smile. Everything. "Homura..." He said to himself, shaking his head.
