Title: A Dark Dragon and A Dark Fog
Post by: Killik on February 03, 2013, 12:30:47 am
killik walks through the forest. every step he takes is heavy and dead. his arms drag at his sides and his eyes are unnerving and unwavering, he walks with no regard to location or whereabouts, his mind only on the goal before him. his travels come to an abrupt halt. in front of him no more than a foot away lies a fog. a fog unlike any he has ever seen before, a fog filled with darkness unlike any other. things like this would send any normal man screaming, but killik was no normal man. he was not even a man at all. he steps into the fog, his hands caress the heavy cloak and almost in return it caresses him back. like a child with a new pet killik admires the fog. he steps further in, delving into this dark paradise. he does not know of the fog will retaliate. he does not know his next move. he simply wants to live in the now and enjoy this sinful pleasure. killiks body sways slowly side to side.  his long jet black ponytail sways opposite to his body, following its momentum. his eyes close and a soft open mouthed smile forms on his face. so long has the black dragon tried to find his place. to find where he truly resides in the sun or under the moon. today, this day he stands under a full blown moon.

((I am so sorry about losing track of this. My baby brain is just not up to the task, some days, of keeping up with the rest of me. Yeesh. My apologies, again.))

The fog was entropic and consuming. It pulsated around the dark dragon's hands, around his ankles. It entwined about them, almost as if it would give a tug and take him deeper. Whispers, hushed voices in that Fog grew louder, before an eerie and violently abrupt silence fell. Deep inside him, the darkness that was so inherent a part of him pulsated and grew. It isn't to say gained in size or in mass. It deepened, drew sharper edges and more dangerous possibilities to it. As if Killik had begun to hone a weapon.

feelings of knowing spread through the darklings soul, feelings of being wanted and finding. almost as if the fog itself had created him, as if the fog itself was his parent. it was clear. unless separated from this fog killik would grow with the darkness and be shaped by it, rather than shape the darkness in his own image

Mistuko walked cautiously through the forest.  Her small satchel was filled with a the few provisions she had found in her ventures.  The darkness and the feeling of the air made her uncomfortable as tried to find her way back to her cave.  A little ways a head of her she saw a thick bank of fog, which made her wary.  She shivered as she walked, questioning why she left the cave at night without her brother in the first place.  Thinking she saw someone in the fog she called out softly, "Hello.....is anyone there?"

The fog embraced him, as a beloved guardian or parent might. He felt, for that moment, as if he were home. As if he'd been marked indelibly by that heavy blanket of entropic energy. It moved just slightly, obscuring the dark dragon's eyes from seeing through it. Keeping him closed off from the brighter world around him, the living world. His beloved sister's words didn't reach his ears. Instead, the fog took him under until he floated inside it. As if caught and captured by a morphine dream, he seemed weightless and shiftless in air.

Mitsuko outside of the fog doesn't see the figure any longer, and even if he could answer her, she wouldn't hear it. There's only that deathly silence. The fog, showing that it has a sentience of it's own, coiled and then proceeded to lash out at the creature of light. She was inherently it's enemy, and they would not wait for her presence to harm it first.

As the figure disappeared from sight Mitsuko shuddered lightly.  She knew she had seen someone.  Who could be out in the fog?  The silence made her blood run cold, as she tried to step towards the fog.  As the fog lashed out at her she screamed and jumped to the side, trying to avoid the fog to the best of her ability.  She summoned a small ball of light to give herself a little bit better of a view.
