Once Upon a Dream [closed, Mika/Hunter, eve. mid week]
Hunter:
The quiet dinner club in the Market had been re-built, as it brought in both tourists and revenue, keeping the economy of the island afloat. He'd sent a an invitation to Mika, old fashioned in a charming sort of way. The vellum was heavy and seemed old, the calligraphy neat and detailing a gentleman's wish to escort her on a date. A time given, 6:00 in the evening, and a request to be allowed to pick her up at her dorm accompany this. She is advised that a dress code is in place at their destination.
A box accompanies the invitation, on the flatter side, and a bit long, it's no difficult guess that this is jewelry of some sort. When opened, ivory pearls are revealed, simple and antique. The clasp is very ornate and shows their age clearly. The note inside says, very simply, 'Please bring this along with you.' The individual that delivers this message to Mika informs her that he was instructed to await a return message either accepting or denying.
Mika Sasaki:
Mika read the invitation as a smile played across her lips. Holding the box delicately in her hand, her fingers trace over the pearls. She quickly grabs her favorite stationary, and writes her answer with a delicate hand, fine script, an answer of acceptance to send back to him.
Once the answer has been given and the return message sent along, she turns to her closet to find something appropriate for the dress code. Most of her closet being black she goes back and forth between an understated but elegant black dress, and one of a deep plum color. Finally settling on a dress, she went about finishing up her preparation. A soft purple smokey eye was the focal point of the make up with accents of silver. Finally a light gloss on the lips. Her hair gathered and curled, held off one shoulder with soft curls cascading down the other. Taking a last glance, hoping that it would be looked at with a smile, she looked at the clock and made sure she was ready for when her date would arrive.
Hunter:
Hunter arrived, looking a bit like this, in the same cool greys and blacks. His cuff links are clearly antique, perhaps even belonging to his father. The intricate working matches the clasp upon the pearls. He's clean shaven and smells faintly of that sandelwood and cedar scent she'd come to associate with him. He knocks on the door firmly, and stands with his hands behind his back, hair tamed for the evening. The healthy tan of his face is only heightened by the dove grey collar.
He's managing to not look overly nervous or anxious despite certainly feeling that way. He carries a bouquet of flowers in his hands consisting of creamy ivory oleander, Angelwing jasmine, and noticeably three ivory rosebuds and one deep purple rosebud that had an almost burgundy sheen upon it, yet still managed to remain that royal shade. The ferns and baby's breath are spare and tasteful, and the stems have been wrapped in a white silk. He had one more bloom in their conveyance, but he wasn't yet sure about giving that one.
Mika Sasaki:
Mika heard the knock at the door and her heart fluttered for a moment. Doing one last glance over her appearance, she smooths out her dress and takes a breath. A small clutch sits on her bed next to the box that had accompanied the invitation. Picking both up she headed to the door. Calming her nerves for a second she opens the door to see Hunter on the other side. She takes in his appearance, a bright smile spreading across her face as she caught the whiff of sandalwood and cedar. Brushing a loose curl back behind her ear her sparkling silver eyes finding his. "Good evening Hunter. You look dashing."
Hunter:
He gave a courtly bow to her as she spoke, a crooked smile flashing over his mouth briefly, his hand coming forth to present the bouquet to her. "And you're breathtaking. Do you have a cloak or coat you'd like my assistance with? And would you like to wear those pearls?" He asked, the last question coming forth somewhat shyly.
