O'raion Public Library / Caught up in my thoughts [open evening]
« on: March 01, 2013, 10:12:51 pm »
Mika sat at the back of the library, curled up in her favorite chair.  Her mind spinning in its own thoughts much as it always seemed to do.  Sighing she leaned her head back, her thoughts jumping from Hunter, to shinji, to her father, to killik.  She looked at her hands, almost as if measuring what they could do.

As she is pulled into a hug Mika tensed for a moment.  This motion was one she had not expected from her father.  As he spoke, slowly her body eased from the tension, and she allowed her father to hug her.  She nodded lightly, "I won't hesitate.  I promise."

Mika smiled softly at her father.  "I've never thought that looking at the negative side of things did much good."  It was true, had she not been able to look for the good in things she probably wouldn't be anywhere near like she was now.  She could have let the hurt and hate build in her till she wanted nothing more than to bring suffering.  However why would she want others to suffer, she had seen the hard times, the pain, and she didn't want others to go through that.

Miks shook her head lightly.  Her voice came out hushed.  "I know that it was necessary, I know it saved my life."  Despite the all the pain, at least part of it was just to save her.  She couldn't fault him for that.

Mika smiled softly.  It was a fairly incredible story.  It was hard to even have a response to such a thing.

Mika nodded softly taking in the words of her father.  Trying to digest what she had just heard.  She knew that the scars that Deji had left would never fully heal, but this wasn't the same man in front of her.  It was her father.  "He cured you?"  It was almost too much to believe, her mind having grown accustomed to preparing herself for the worst.

Mika shook her head lightly, "I guess it's not surprise.  Its more that someone told me that, and for so many years, I never would have expected to hear that kind of thing."  Even Mika couldn't help but laugh lightly as he explained how he had wanted to give her mother a little angel.  As he spoke in the third person Mika tilted her head slightly,  still confused as to why this visit was different, why it felt so different.  There was something different about Deji than when he normally visited her.  His final question snapping her from her thoughts, she rubbed her forehead lightly.  "I'm okay, just, this is different than normal."

Mika shook slightly as the memories came flooding back.  Not expecting the flood of memories, the memory of the cello shining amongst the normal sea of dark memories.  Her wings twitched softly at the mention of their previous color.  "White?"  she mumbled softly looking down for a moment.  She turned them back up to her father, "I look like mother?" Between the new memories and it being her father standing in front of her, the normally well spoken girl was almost at a loss for words.

The soothing, memory filled tune drawing her eyes behind her, there was a light smile on her face.  As her eyes fell on her father, her body tensed on instinct.  Subconsciously taking a step back as she watched him play, entranced.  She very infrequently saw anyone else play a stringed instrument, she was normally the one playing.  As he finished his speech, her eyes fell to his as they opened.  "I...I didn't expect to see you there.  It's been a while father."  A slight hesitation evident in her voice as he says he's missed her.

Hearing that the sound wasn't just in her head her eyes fluttered open.  Pulling herself to her feet for a moment, she looked around for the source of the sound.

Watching the clouds play and dance in the sky Mika smiled softly.  As the melody surrounded her and she closed her eyes, she felt at peace.  She felt warm and safe, as the memory played in her mind a tear welled up before she brushed it away.  Curling her arms around her knees she rested her head atop them with a smile.

Miyako only showed a reaction a few times.  "Well she could basically be a weapon if someone wanted her to be.  Activate that in her, and you've got a killing machine.  You want to know what she changed?  Well that boy you fought with, her fiance, or was.  He remembers nothing of their time together so that she could offer another life, bringing him back from the underworld."

Mika sat atop the mountain, staring up at the stars.  Coming to her favorite thinking spot she she leaned back against a rock, her wings curled behind her.  The fog that coated the island made her uneasy.  Thinking if she went high enough she could get above it, she had come here.  Running her hands through her hair she sighed and stared into the dark.

Miyako smiled softly, seductively, resting her arms around his neck.  "Killed someone?  Not that she rememebers, not that she couldn't.  She did change a few fates without their permission."

She tilted her head, giving him a better angle at her neck, as she thought.  "Just what she's done, the past, all those things she hates to talk about."
