O'raion Public Library / Re: Caught up in my thoughts [open evening]
« on: March 17, 2013, 05:16:03 pm »
It seemed like coming to this place was a rather serendipitous choice at that. Rather, the wheels were turning, slowly but still turning.  Tapping his cheek with a single finger of his free hand, "There is a little paper work, but that is to be expected with anything now a days." Sliding his hand up higher to readjust his barret ever-so-slightly, having felt something off balance to him.  "So, are you living on or off the academy's grounds?" It couldn't hurt to have another reason to explore the confines of this island or at least have an alibi if things would turn sour.

He lifted a single eyebrow at the how defensive the stranger was over their books. "Riiigght... Speaking of which, I doubt I've seen that person anywhere around these parts. " Still, rather curious over what this person's subject of the book load was over. Just huffing lightly and wrapping his arms around his sides.

Shrugged half-hearted with his case in one hand,"Still, with lack of information between the few people I've met. I just have to come up with the conclusions myself." Pausing briefly snatch the top book from the stack to gain some insight on the stranger who hadn't introduced themselves' yet.

He nodded once more, pushing his frame off of the bookshelf and taking a few steps closer to her. Offering up a single hand to her with a coy half-smile, "Well, it seems I'll soon be have my hands full with this place." Mentally counting off with fingers as he listed them,"There will be the classes that I'll be taking along with the one I'll be partly teaching. The part time job, also the club..." He ended up trailing off on that last note, taking a brief second to reflect on how much relevance the group has on this event. "I extend an invitation to that, the Book Club is always looking for new members." Half hoping he wasn't being too forward with this.

Well, I did get some traffic in the pass week or two, after posting the link to the forum in different spots. Still all it did was net one new person, as far as I've seen. All-and-all, I did spruce up the forums a little bit.

Though, I doubt anyone really noticed.

O'raion Academy / Technology Class Room

TECHNOLOGY CLASS ROOM

Just pass the an automatic sliding door, a smell of burnt wires and various mechanical fluids would meet the nostrils. Inside the darken class room, lit by the various holographic screens that lined the work benches and large flat-screen monitors. Strange and very detailed schematics darted across the screens, on a casual glance it would of been hard to tell where one began and another ended. On the work benches, were machinery in various stages of construction and tools that would be more akin to that of torture equipment than to actual anything used to build.  Multi-colored warm neon pools synthetic fluid decorated the walls their cases to add to a purely aesthetic feel. Along the workbenches sat leather bound chairs for student use, while they'd they could gaze into the holographic touch screen during the long winded lectures portions. A single yellow warning hung by the door with black text that shined in a pseudo-phosphorescent glow. "Delicate equipment, due use gloves when handling machinery."

Boys Dorm Rooms / Re: Room #404

Geist slammed the door close, with the sound of signs scratching the outside door frame as they rocked. Taking off his barret and tossing over the mouth of one of the many cups that lined the table. Finally to slip down into a chair in front of the large monitor that was the main source of light for the room. With a short sigh he propped up his laptop case against one of the floor bulges. His fingers darting over the keyboard to pull the current logs to add to his current information on this place.  "Another day, progress has been so far." Adding in a sardonic tone off to himself as he changed his gaze off to the ceiling and sliding a foot out one of his boots. The lone sound of the muffled thud of boot falling out his hands and onto the floor.

He took a few steps to lean up against a nearby book shelf, offering of a small huff. "Thus there is the impasse. Can't, shouldn't..." Simply shaking his head, I wouldn't wish to wish to evoke an enlightenment at the cost of genocide. "This place will change, every step will mark something new. You're welcome to come along if you so wish." He did have plans, some help along the way would aid the quest.
