Looking for a good read / A picnic somewhere warm [11/20, afternoon, closed]

Homura had a basket with her as she looked for a good clearing to settle down in.  Once she found an optimal spot from a bag she pulled out a blanket and spread it on the ground.  Humming softly she started pulling food out of the basket.

Mura bounced around her kitchen happily.  She had all sorts of baking good scattered about the counters.  She had found a recipe for a molten lava cake, and really wanted to try it out.  It sounded super exciting.  Chocolate, flour and eggs were all out.  She had some cocoa dusted across her face as she worked on putting the batch together.  She had told a few people about what she was trying to make.  She didn't know if they would come try her creation, but she was ready for guests.

Forest of Embers / Places of Warmth [afternoon, open]

Over a sea of fire a large red dragon soared.  Now that it was drawing on winter she found herself here more and more frequently.  The fire of the island keeping her warm when she wasn't in her room.  Landing in a clearing she shifted to her small dragon form and took off bouncing through the forest.

O'raion Mountains / Capturing a flame [afternoon, open]

Stretching her wings to the sky a large red dragon circled the mountain.  A few blasts of fire were launched harmlessly into the air, as if just a test.  As she neared the treeline the dragon shifted to Mura's human form.  She landed softly near the mouth of a cave.  She had explored this cave before, but there was something she was looking for.  Making her way to the depths of the cave, a few fireballs hovered over her head providing a source of light as she searched. Her fingers traced over the walls carefully.

A ways back in the cave she stopped suddenly looking at the wall curiously.  A glimmer of red behind the rock of the cave.  Her hands shifted quickly to claws and her tail emerged.  She quickly dug into the rock, cutting through it swiftly until the red stone was fully exposed.  A good sized uncut ruby lie in her hands, as she sat down with it.  She ran the stone through her hands, letting fire and warmth pulse through the gem.  The heat penetrated the gem, polishing it till the white streaks shown through.  The star ruby sat in her hands, as Homura looked pleased.  A small bag had hung at her waist, and she pulled out a flash of sliver from it, and began working away, humming happily.

Forest of Embers / Training with Fire [10/29, open evening]

Homura landed softly in a clearing in the forest of Embers.  This place made the most sense to train in.  She hated training, but unfortunatley it would be necessary.  She had gathered a few downed large logs that sat next to her as she stood in the middle of the clearing.  Sighing her claws and fangs relieved themselves.  She picked up one of the logs with her tail and tossed it easily into the air despite its size.  She took off after it, turning it into woodchips easily.  As the chips began to fall her eyes shone the color of flames, and they all caught on fire.  The debris now on fire started circling her.  She let out more flames her eyes looking completely like flames, adding to the debris making a cyclone of fire.  After shooting the whole fire into the sky she landed back down in the grass.  She sat down gently playing with a small fireball in her hand, her claws still out in full.

Forest of Embers / A fire dragon with a cold in a forest of fire [9/11 evening, open]

As the sun started to set Homura had found herself cold.  She had been sneezing and coughing, and grumbled about getting sick.  To keep herself warm, since she had been the only one in her dorm room, she flew over to the forest of embers.  It was the one place she had a chance of being warm without Ren.  She landed and curled up in her little dragon form.  "Aaachooo!"  she sneezed out fire before buring her face in her paws.  "I think I'm sick." she pouted, feeling cold and lonely.  She wrapped her wings around her, sneezing again.

Homura circled the mountain top a few times before landing.  She pulled herself up on a boulder and hugged her knees.  Something about today, she felt off.  She couldn't place the problem, but it was like she was struggling to breathe.  She let her head rest on her knees while she tried to catch her breath.  She wrapped her wings around her lightly like a shield.  She knew she wasn't moving anytime soon, her head was spinning.  If she looked up the world would spin as well.  She shivered lightly against the wind.

Homura skipped through the forest.  She was restless.  She was looking for someone to play with.  She tried to see if she could sneak up on a forest critter.  She shifted into her dragon form and snuck up on a wolf.

O'raion Beach / Thoughts in the Water [8/24, afternoon, open]

Homura landed on the beach.  She would admit she hadn't been visiting this place as much after recent events.  She kicked her shoes off and wandered down to the water.  The waves lapped up at her feet as her mind took off.  She didn't want to think about the events that kept her from the beach.  Instead she smiled thinking about her time spent with Ren last night.  After a few minutes of smiling at thinking about the feeling of being in his arms, her mind wandered to the statement that he made about what he would be without her.  The thought of him not being with her sent tremours through her body.  She certainly didn't know how she would fare if he ever were to no longer be there.  She couldn't imagine being without him.  As her thoughts spiraled downward thinking about life without him, she stared up into the sky and screamed.  Her body temperature raised rapidly and the water around her feet started to evaporate.  She screamed for a solid minute before flopping down and lying in the water, letting it soak her clothes.  The scream hadn't come from anger, it was just a way to release bad thoughts for her, to make her mind clearer.  "Alright enough of that." she said quietly staring up at the sky.  She sighed and pushed the thoughts from her mind.  She certainly didn't want to worry Ren, and she didn't want him to find her sad.  She smiled focusing back on the feeling of being in Ren's arms.  She hovered a ball of fire over her head and continued lying in the water.  She smiled contemplating shifting forms and chasing after fish in the ocean.

O'raion Mountains / A Reason to Soar [8/17, afternoon, open]

A red dragon soared around the mountain tops.  She flipped and danced through the sky.  She had been out thinking, but the sky had called to her.  She didn't stretch her full wings often enough.  The mountain was soothing.  She raced above the clouds, and glided around before diving back to the mountains pulling up just before the rocks.  The little dragon looked happy playing in the sky.

Homura soared over the mountain in her dragon form.  Seeing a nice place to land and take a walk she landed, and shifted into her human form.  She stretched her arms towards the sky and marveld at how peaceful everything was here.  She wanted to get out and have time to think, but not think.  She didn't want to think about recent events, so she focused on the animals around her, wanting to play.  She shifted into a smaller version of her dragon, about the size of a fox.  She bounded up the trail happily.

Bio: Hotaru is a dragon without a partner.  Her appearance gives her a deciptively childlike air, although she is highly intellegant, and picks up things quickly.  She is easily excitable, and always excited to try new things.  She is fasintaed by all the new things she sees.  She does however have a quick temper.  If she is made mad she will fly off the handle quickly.  She wants to find her partner but doesn't know why, she just sees it as the next step in life.
