Title: Chance Encounter ((Semi-open, permission needed; Elyana, Elliot Evening))
Post by: Tayboski on October 26, 2012, 02:04:57 am
Elliot stood at the top of the cliff frowning as he stared out at the sea. He wasn't sure why he came here, he just kind of felt as though he needed to be there, and he'd been standing there for a while staring at the sea as though looking for a sign, a hint, anything pointing to why he thought he couldn't leave.

Finding nothing, the boy eventually lowered his head and began to think. "Why am I out here?" He asked himself. George #3 nuzzled against his left ankle and looked up at him in confusion. The teen just chuckled and kneeled down to pet the bird as another salty breeze blew by. He didn't know whay he was here, but he had the feeling that he'd find out soon.

A leopard stalked from the shadows, it's tail flicking. It paced to the edge of the cliff, tail a clear barometer of agitation. It gave a soft sigh, backing away slightly from the edge, and sitting. No longer a leopard, instead one No Moon sat in her date clothing.

The white cashmere gleamed under the moonlight, the grey skirt pooled around her. That dark hair conceals her face, but there's something in her posture, the way she sits and moves. It's all wrong. It lacks her usual smoothness and grace. She also hasn't seemed to notice that she's come upon Elliot. Also odd for the usually perceptive woman.

When, Elliot sensed Lya's approach, he panicked. It had been weeks since he'd last seen her and he wasn't ready to face her again. Not while his feelings were so exposed. So it was no surprise when his first reaction to Lya's presence was to run...

...That is, until he saw her. Elliot took one look at Lya when she arrived and suddenly it all became clear; this was NOT the Ely he was used to. She looked like she needed help. He couldn't leave her like this! But what to do now...

Fighting the urge to simply walk over and hug the woman, the teen swallowed hard trying to subdue his emotions as he tried to think things through as she sat there. " 'Is everything okay?' No, it's obvious that she isn't. 'You look terrible, what happened?' No, she'd either shut down or go on a rant again. That'd be no help at all..." Elliot pondered these questions and more as he tried to come up with something decent to say.

"...It's nice out tonight. The wave look beautiful from here," the teen said looking back out over the sea. Internally, he kicked himself for saying something so random, but it wasn't as bad as the other things he might've said.

Once, the Ely he knew might have jumped slightly, but otherwise shrugged it off, and talked to him. This Ely startled badly, skittering back gracelessly. Her amber eyes looked out from a face drained to chalk. Concealing makeup had long given up the ghost. The sleepless shadows linger beneath her eyes. But her eyes are heartbreaking.

Terror had made them hollow. The near constant feeling of being watched, stalked had turned her into a hounded creature. Hope had all but guttered out. He'd caught her without that No Moon mask that she had, and the truth had been something she wanted no one to see. Bravado, deception, strength gone, she only looked up at the man that had spoken in silent dread.

Her teeth gritted together, clicking against one another as she closed her mouth. It didn't prevent the initial tremble of her lower lip, but it stopped it from going further. Instead, Ely averted her eyes. She didn't want to see him take in all the details. She turned her head slightly, the damage already done, but in time to shield the well and fall of tears. It was all she could do to prepare herself.

Many emotions washed over Elliot when he saw Lya. The first was shock and horror. Shock at the fact that Lya could look such a way, shock that she could be in this state at all, and shock that he had seen it. The teen's eyes grew wide as the color drained from his own face. One hand raised weakly towards the woman and he took a step forward wanting to do something, but was afraid to do so for fear of breaking the fragile thing sitting before him.

Next was disbelief. This couldn't be real. It couldn't be happening, but he knew that it was. The cold hard truth was that this was a broken woman sitting before him right now. The teen nearly swooned as he took a step back, one hand drifting up to cover his eyes as he nearly laughed at the absurdity of his all... Nearly...

Finally, was rage. A terrible, frightening rage that bubbled up from his very core that threatened to consume him entirely. At this point, he regained use of his mind as wide, golden eyes darted about beneath the hand covering his face.

"KILL THEM!!! I'll KILL them!!!!" he thought, "I'll KILL the bastards who did this! The LOT of 'em!!! And it won't be quick, I'll make them SUFFER for putting Lya-chan in such a state! There will be NO FORGIVENESS as I rip their entrails out with SURGICAL precision! They'll have no choice but to watch in HORROR do to their new lack of EYELIDS as I pull out and REMOVE their organs ONE BY ONE and DESTROY them before their very eyes erasing ALL CHANCES for survival!!! I'll let them writhe in a slow AGONY...make them WISH for hell because it would be BETTER than what I'll be doing to them!!! I'll  KILL THEM ALL!!! Kill... kill.... KIIIIILLLLL!!!!!"

Elliot blinked, a frantic chirping and a warm, wet feeling in his right hand jolting him out of his thoughts. The teen looked down panting at the panicking baby chocobo at his feet before looking at his right hand, which was shaking and bleeding from 4 puncture wounds in his palms... and 5 more in his face where his nails had dug in. The teen blinked again and looked up at the woman that was turned away, still looking frail. Still looking like she was in need of a hero, not an avenger...

"Ah, that's right. Now's not the time for this...," Elliot thought, and took a deep breath dissipating the thoughts and any dark aura he might've had at that time. Once it was gone, Elliot looked at the woman and put on the gentlest smile he could muster. "Lya...," he said beginning to walk towards her. At this point, the teen may have looked like something out of a horror movie, but if she could feel his emotions again at this point, she would feel that he wanted nothing more at the moment than to help her feel better in any way he could. And she might begin to feel something more at the same time...

She gave a minute sniffle, trying to dry her eyes, only to find that every time she brushed one fall of tears away, another replaced it. It was a senseless endeavor, one she gave up on. Her hands folded in the lap of her skirt, the frantic peep of the chocobo drawing her eye.

She saw the wounds on his face and hands, a distressed bit of sound escaping. She'd reached out her hand in a sort of automatic gesture, before her hand dropped. She looked up at him, watching him come toward her. And looked utterly adrift. She had no concrete place to start.

She lowered eyes and head, lost. The only thing that could make it from her brain to her mouth was a simple statement, "Gregor doesn't believe in me." Before it had just been the thing that had torn them apart that made her think that. Now, he just kept proving it.

Elliot flinched, hesitating for a moment. "Ah, so this is about Gregor...," he thought. The teen felt disappointed just from hearing his cousin's name pass Lya's lips, but he shook the feeling off and kneeled next to the injured woman gently rubbing her back for comfort. "I see. Tell me more," he said, smiling softly at her to encourage her. In truth, his cousin was one of the last things he wanted to hear about at the moment, especially from Lya, but it seemed as though she was about to open her heart to him, so the least he could do was listen.

His pet chocobo agreed running over to the pair and stopping in front of Lya. The yellow puff ball of a bird twittered a bit while tilting it's head cutely at Lya. It didn't quite understand what was going on, but it knew that the woman was feeling down and wanted to help her feel better.

Her hands opened to the small ball of fluff, extended to the avian. "There's the dreams. Ever since I took the secondary road of the Crescent Moons, I've ended up a Seer. Seeing things to come. Mostly through dreams." She shivered, looking down at the bird. She still sniffled softly, tears on her face falling slower, but not halting.

"I've been having dreams that someone, a man from my past, is coming to finish what he started. To get what he wants. And lately, I've been catching his scent on the winds. I've seen him, heard him. The snow was falling just a few nights ago, and I saw a man. And I heard him howl. His howl." A shudder wracked the small woman, and her eyes closed. The whimper that came from her was by no means voluntary.

"I tried to show Gregor. But he can't see or smell or hear the things I do. This man's scent lingers in the Forest. I've felt like something was watching me, stalking me for weeks. I've awoken, feeling as if something touched me, even though I'm alone. He thinks I'm imagining things. Or that I'm blowing things out of proportion." Her hands pet the golden chocobo as a way to soothe herself and to keep her hands from fidgeting.

She fell silent for some time before she looked up at Elliot, eyes still lost, drenched. "I feel like I'm going insane. I barely sleep, I haven't been hungry. I'm scared. All the time. Why can't someone just believe me?" She asked, forlorn and fragile.

The bird cooed and nuzzled Lya's hands as the teen merely listened to her concerns. Blonde eyebrows furrowed as he listened to her words and a spark of anger flared up again at the mention of Gregor giving her trouble during this difficult time, but he put it out of his mind for the moment. What was more important was this mysterious stalker that she was talking about that was after her. A stalker that Elliot felt that he may have been familiar with...

"It's him...," Elliot thought with a frown, "it's that guy again! Didn't Yggdrasil take care of him before!? He can't be back now!! She can't be right!!!" Elliot started to clench his fist again, but winced from the sting of his wounds. Ironically, the pain cut through his shock and disbelief allowing him to think clearly again.

"No, your wrong Elliot. You have to consider the possibility that he survived," the teen thought as he coolly analyzed the situation. "Remember, you weren't there long enough to see him die, you were to focused on helping Lya escape remember? For all you know, he could've gotten away. Besides, if this was a ll a lie, then Lya wouldn't be this way; she's not so cruel as to do all of this as a joke..."

After taking all of this into consideration, the teen lowered his head a bit swallowing hard as he steeled his resolve. Then, he looked Lya in the eyes and took her hand squeezing it gently. "...don't worry Lya, I believe you. I think I've seen that guy before. I know what he can be capable of..." The teen then braced himself for her reaction. The teen had covered up the fact that he remembered what happened that night in the woods so long ago before, so he was a bit nervous of what Lya would think now that she knew he knew now...

She played with the yellow fluff ball with a singular attention that bespoke of trying so hard to keep herself together. When he took her hand and looked at her, her eyes focused on him in that same manner. She blinked slow, her mind processing sluggishly. But soon, it dawned in her eyes, the understanding of what he'd sad.

"When did you remember that? I-" She began, eyes wide. Some part of her even ashamed. If he remembered Brutus, he remembered all of... She didn't hide her eyes, but they dulled a bit. He'd seen, been there as witness to her moment of ultimate weakness. Still, she focused on a light in the dark. "You...believe me?" She said, fragile hope in her tone. Her lower lip trembled again as her doe eyes looked back at him.

Elliot noticed the look in her eye, but disregarded it for a moment as he squeezed her hand while raising the other to the woman's cheek. He returned her doe-eyed look with one of determination and assurance as he gives her a slight nod. "Every word," he said. And then, for some reason, he leaned forward giving her a light kiss on her forehead before sitting back and ruffling her hair a bit smiling.

"Don't worry; he may be strong, but we've chased him off before and we're stronger now! I have no doubt that we'll be able to finish him once and for all this time!" Despite his calming words, the teen's mind was caught in a hurricane. He had no idea where his words and actions were coming from, but for some reason, he felt assured with them. Like they were right.

It had been weeks since simple affection had been given. The No Moon squeezed his hand, smiling faintly at the kiss to her forehead. Ely breathed deep for the first time in so long, letting it out in a sigh. She'd had no idea how much it might mean or change to have someone believe her. It made her lighter, less terrified.

Despite his assurance though, Ely still feared heavily. It didn't need to be stated, though. She tried a smile, looking a bit more like herself. She'd not be quite the same when all of this was done, but she could smile for the moment.

In an impulsive movement, she moved forward, kissing Elliot's cheek and sliding her arms around him. The sensory creature she was put her face in his neck through instinct where she mumured, "Thank you, El. Thank you for believing me." Her forest and rain scent was just faintly tinged by something else. Perhaps those emotions of hers.

Elliot blinked, eyes widening as his face slowly turns a deep shade of red. For a moment, the teen was totally frozen as though he wasn't going to do anything, then his arms slowly raised and wrapped around Lya in response. Pressed up against his neck, the woman would be able to hear and feel his heart beat in his pulse as it grew faster and harder to the point that the teen almost couldn't breath as he was overcome by his feelings... at least for the moment...

"...no problem, anytime...," the Crescent Moon said in a daze staring blankly ahead of him. Meanwhile, Georgie the chocobo looked up at the 2 blinking before twittering a few times in Lya's lap as though he wanted to know what was going on.

Her head clear for the first time in weeks, free of that mind numbing fear, finally the woman was able to put the math together. The sound of his heartbeat was the catalyst for realization. She listened to it's cadence speed, felt his initial shocked hesitation. And surprised herself by feeling none of her own shock. None of her own hesitation.

Still she became, in his arms. Too much to consider all at once, she could only think of the pulse near her face, the reason for it. His dazed words made her certainty full. Sitting back slow after the long moments, she looked into his dazed face, her head at a curious angle. There's no missing the knowing in her eyes. The consideration.

When Lya broke the embrace and looked at Elliot, his face was still too red to hide and one could almost see smoke rising from his ears. Still dazed, the teen looked at the No Moon in confusion before he realized what her realization meant and his heart skipped a beat turning even redder.

"Err... umm... y-you see... umm...," the teen stammered faliling as though trying to grasp some reason, some excuse for the feelings he was sure Lya now knew about, but to no avail as his mind was now blank, whiled clean by the hurricane of emotions that devastated it a few moments ago.

After a few more moments of flailing wordlessly, the teen stopped sighing as his blush somehow deepened. Unconsciously, the boy took on a very feminine and submissive posture tucking his legs beneath him and letting his hands fall into his lap. His eyes firmly glued to the ground looking up every now and again to steal a glance at Lya's face as though looking for something. After a few tense moments, the boy opened his mouth. And after 1 more,, he spoke.

"I... I guess I can't hide it anymore huh... I suppose you already know now... how I feel about you...," he asked slowly, carefully, as though he were walking through a minefield. Again, he glanced over at her every now and then looking for the barest hint of a reaction on her face. At the moment, he couldn't read her at all. Or perhaps, maybe he was over reading her...

Lya's face isn't especially unreadable. It's likely he was reading too deeply, and therefore missing the most obvious of things. She watched him, listened to him, took in many of the details, especially when he spoke. She nodded her head slowly, acknowledging his words, "Yes. I know. The math came clear in my head." There's none of the No Moon subterfuge in her voice or face. She's calm, sure, even.

Her hand reached out, hooking a slender finger beneath his chin to bring his eyes up to hers. She'd been here before. In his exact position, that precise expression on her face. She deliberately brought them eye to eye. She was going on instinct, rather than any exact science of logic and knowledge that told her what to do or say. She let her own whiskey eyes meet his blue, and offered a rare moment to look into her.

Nothing was exactly clear to the No Moon, other than the fact that she wasn't afraid of what she found looking back at her from inside him. She hadn't had time to sort her other emotions, yet. To adjust, think, consider. But she didn't fear anything here in the moment. She looked from his eyes to his mouth, then back. For her, it wasn't calculated or accident. Eye to eye, she simply looked at him. And waited, whether she knew it or not.

"!!!" At first the teen was overcome with embarrassment and almost panicked, but once Lya guided him into looking into her eyes, all embarrassment and other reservations melted away as though he was drowning in her eyes. Somehow, he knew now. He knew what she wanted and he knew how she felt, but what now? He felt like he needed to say something, but what? What should he say at a time like this? He'd dreamed of this moment many times before. If his mind was clear, he might've seen those dreams now as the premonitions that they were, but at the moment, he was too far gone to care.

Slowly, silently, the distance between their lips closed without Elliot's knowledge. The teen was still wracking his unresponsive mind for something, anything to say. Lya's scent became more and more overwhelming the closer he got to her. Finally, their noses were almost touching when he'd finally come to a conclusion; perhaps there was no need to say anything.

Closing his eyes, the Crescent Moon gave in. Tilting his head, the boy leaned forward the last few centimeters and felt the softness of Lya's lips for himself. A small sigh of content escaped him as he kissed her. He knew he loved her already, but now he was just understanding how much as, for the first time, he felt as though everything was as it should be.

Lya let Elliot lean forward in his hesitant manner. She let him come to her, and didn't have the reason for it, or perhaps would understand later. She grew tired of being the one that gave in and made the first move. Tired of being the one to sacrifice dignity, and feel the fear of possible rejection. She wanted to know she mattered enough the someone would risk that for her.

Her eyes stayed on his until he shut his, her own drifting closed. Their lips touched in that light press of lips that every first kiss consisted of. The hesitant and delicate pressure before one is familiar with the person they moved with.

Her hand moved along his jaw to the back of his neck, her head tilting just so. She nibbled lightly, fingers brushing his neck in a delicate dance.

"Mmh," the small, somewhat surprised moan escaped the teen's lips before he could do anything about it. He wasn't expecting nor was he ready for the nibble, but it just excited him even more as he returned with his own soft nibble as he gave her hair a small yank to pull her head back a bit. The teen then raised over her pressing their bodies together as he continued to kiss her. Slowly getting more and more carried away in the process.

He hadn't expected her nibble, she didn't expect the tug of her hair. Her gasp was lost between them in the kiss, but the throaty little moan wasn't muffled nearly so well. Both hands came to his neck, the nails of one combing over his nape. She pressed, soft and willing beneath the onslaught. She's not lost completely. Not yet.

Still, her head tilted, sealing their mouths closer. A nip to Elliot's bottom lip is followed by a lick of her tongue, and soft suction over it. Lya gave a small shudder against him.

"Ah," Elliot gasped as his lip is captured, but again, it just serves to excite him more as he nibbles playfully at her upper lip. Steadily becoming more bold, he slipped his tongue into her mouth to dance with hers as one hand reaches up lightly scratching her scalp before giving her hair another small yank. This time, he breaks the kiss and targets her neck giving it several small kisses followed by a small bite. It all was... right. Right? In that case, why did he get the feeling that something was very wrong... like he was forgetting something important...

Her tongue curled against his playfully, almost flirtatiously. The No Moon moaned again, smiling against his lips as he tugged her hair, and scratched her scalp. A sweet scent came off her skin, as her head fell back, baring her neck further.

His kisses kept her mind clouded, but the small bite stirred something. Some wolf instinct. A nip on her neck....mate. Mate! F***. Her mind sped to normal acceleration. Her hands paused on Elliot's skin. They moved gently to his face, framing it between small palms.

"El, sugar. We have to stop. This can't go further." Still going more on instinct than experience (when would she have had this experience?), she left light kisses on his lips while she spoke, moving between Creole and English, but repeating much the same thing. She in no way wanted him reacting like a scalded rabbit and thinking he needed to run away.

Elliot groaned between kisses when Lya said they had to stop, but he knew she was right. Though he already decided to agree with her, the teen continued to enjoy the small kisses for a while until he worked up the resolve to finally tear himself away from the woman panting, heart still beating furiously in his chest. Normally, this would be the time when the guy would say "what's the matter?" However, Elliot didn't; since his mind was now beginning to clear now that he'd pulled himself away from the woman, he had a fair idea of why they had to stop and he didn't want to hear about it right now...

Instead, the teen cleared his throat loudly to try to break any tense atmosphere they might've had growing between them and began to speak... or at least he tried to. Elliot blinked several times frozen as he looked down at the chick in Lya's lap. Somehow, the yellow bird's face had turned red and it was panting heavily as though it was in a sauna!

If it were anything else, Elliot would've considered it a "pervert" and sent it flying with a x5 impact punt, but since it was Georgie, the teen couldn't help but smile and burst out laughing while pointing at the chick. "BWAHAHA, you look ridiculous!!!" He chortled as the chick turned redder and puffed up in offense to his remark, but it didn't make things any better. The teen continued to laugh knowing deep down that it wasn't that funny, but hoping his laughter would be infectious enough to distract Lya from anyt troubling thoughts she might be having... at least not for the moment. It may have been selfish, but the teen had finally gotten one of the moments he'd always wanted with Lya. Gregor or no Gregor, he didn't want it marred by awkwardness or regret... at least, not yet... that could be dealt with later....

As if she'd read his thoughts or knew somehow his feelings, she carefully avoided saying his name. She seemed more dazed than tense, and no regret lingers in her eyes or expression. She seems more like she's trying to process all of her own thoughts about what just happened. She kissed his forehead before he pulled away entirely.

She knew Elliot's tactics fairly well, and she almost took his hand, spoke, something to ease him. And then he pointed out the chick. She looked down at the fluff ball, it's red cheeks and fast breathing managing to make her blush. Of all things, it was that to manage it. "Chere, you should be ashamed." She told the young chick, scolding him lightly, the pink still in her face.

Not only is that bayou in her voice, but the French Creole colored it deeply, a peek perhaps at the way her family has likely sounded through the years. It's rare to hear her this close to her roots. From the look on her face, it's a good thing, not a bad one.

Elliot took note of this, secretly smiling at her glad she didn't seem to be troubled. Once his laughter ceased, the teen leaned forward and ruffled the chicks feathers a bit. "She's right you know, perv," he said with a grin. The chick blinked looking abashed before turning away pouting. This caused the teen to chuckle once more and, for some reason, reach up and ruffle Lya's hair a bit too. Normally, this was something Elliot would NEVER do, yet he had did so twice this evening. This time because he was still so euphoric about the kissing that he didn't feel the wrist snap that he'd normally expect if he did such a thing.

"I'm glad your feeling better too though, I was worried about you" Was what he almost said, but not wanting to make the No Moon uncomfortable at all, the teen changed his words right before he spoke them.

"W-well, that was exciting right?" He said stuttering a bit at the beginning due to the last second change of words, "but it's really getting late. We should get out of here. Need me to walk you home?" Elliot stood as he spoke dusting himself off before stretching. Due to him mentioning the make-out session they just had, he was blushing again slightly as he offered his hand to help Lya up, but he didn't bother to hide it; he no longer felt the need to.

"C'mon, let's get out of here. Unless, you'd rather stay a bit longer and chat?" Elliot added the last bit as an afterthought. It really was getting late, but he didn't want to make Lya feel rushed if she had something else to say.

She giggled quietly at the reaction of the chick and didn't see the ruffling of her own hair coming. She looked at Elliot from beneath her lashes, smiling just slightly. She'd already begun getting to her feet as Elliot's hand came out to aid her. She took it, coming to stand in a graceful arching of her body like that of a gymnast.

She brushed at the moonlight colored skirt, freeing grass from it, still having not quite answered his words. She looked up at him slowly, her head tilting just a touch. "No need to stay longer. Yes, I'd love for you to walk me home." She told him, shaking her hair back from her face.

She moved forward, reaching back to offer her hand. Not a little like Eve holding out the apple to Adam in the garden. She looked out at him through the veil of her dark hair, amber eyes glowing faintly. "Exciting might be a good word for it." She said softly, and waited for him to take her hand.

Elliot blinked at her not expecting her offer, but smiles soflty glad because she did. The teen reached forward, softly interlacing his fingers with hers as he took her hand and squeezed it gently blushing a bit. Yet another fantasy of his had been fulfilled tonight.

Suddenly, the teen blinked as he had an afterthought, and leaned down scooping up the baby chocobo and placing it on his shoulder before standing, smiling and nodding at Lya. "Okay then, let's go," he said happily, face still flushed red with a light blush.

She squeezed his hand, grinning slightly at the yellow chocobo riding on his shoulder. She was quiet, though it was a pleasant silence, rather than a thick or tense one. One might find that there was more to the No Moon than the glib woman she presented. Thoughtful or even complex she might be in more personal moments.

She moved silently, as if it were force of habit. Her feet settled in such a way that they made no noise. Her whiskey eyes glanced around them, alert though unafraid. Not necessarily fearless, but unwilling to let the emotion rule her currently. Though as they grew closer and closer to the house, she still sharpened her hearing. Her shoulders tensed slightly, though visibly.

She scented the air, checking for just the whisper of the scent that she had come to fear. Not only did she not find that scent, but the scent of Gregor was less, also. She could not hear him in the house, and his trail had grown a little more faint over the hour or two that had passed since he'd left. Likely, he'd simply gone for a walk to cool down. He wouldn't leave her while she was so scared...would he?

She tensed further, lines of worry on her face. Lines that didn't belong on that visage. Her hand had tightened over Elliot's, though she'd yet to release it. Her honey eyes were vaguely confused and apprehensive. That bottom lip was being worried at with her teeth.

Elliot glanced over at Lya and frowned noticing her worry. Squeezing her hand, he smiled reassuringly at her and nodded. He couldn't feel the things she did to the same extent that she did, but he wanted her to know that whatever happened, he would be there for her.

Despite the apprehension in her eyes, she met Elliot's and gave him a smile in return. They approached the house, and Ely took out her keys. She slid the key in the door, flipping the lock carefully. She opened the door, her eyes wary.

"Will you help me check the house and make sure it's empty, El? I already know...he's not here. He left about an hour and half ago." The tremor in her voice was back. She hated being alone in that house.

Elliot's brows furrowed and he frowned when he learned that Gregor wasn't home, but he was partially thankful for it because he would've given him a nasty glare at the moment if he was there. Shaking his head, the teen refocused on Lya's request and nodded. "Sure, no problem. Should I call in some back up?" He asked her referring to Ventus and Aqua. He figured the more eyes they had, the faster they could search, and they wouldn't have to split up.

Elyana reached out to Aqua as she appeared, giving a quiet greeting to the water spirit. She had a quiet favoritism for the water spirits. Most of them were helpful, sweet and generally kind. She saluted Ventus with a similar friendly gesture. Both spirits were welcome in her home.

She nodded to Elliot, brow furrowed. Nonetheless, she led their way into the house, senses attuned. They moved room to room, her nose, eyes, and ears strained to their maximum to catch anything. There was nothing. Even her own spirits spoke of the house being quiet. Before they pointed at her food and the note.

She moved over to the carryout bag. Her hand tremored as she picked up the note. Something told her already what was in the missive. It didn't lessen the drop of her stomach as she read it. She was torn between a helpless anger and the fear that knowing she'd be alone inspired. This just proved, beyond a doubt, that he didn't believe her, didn't care.

Elliot blinked at the spirits wondering how they'd gotten there when he hadn't even called them yet. Did they follow him? The teen blushed at the thought wondering how long they were there before shaking his head and following Lya as she lead the search.

The teen was tense as the search began keeping his eyes peeled and ready to jump in front of Lya at any time to protect her. As the search continued though, he began to relax. He kept his guard up just to be sure, but he didn't think anyone would be there...

At the end of the search, the teen let out a sigh of relief and collapsed into a nearby chair as Lya walked towards the note and food. "Seems like we're all clear. I suppose things will be fine right?" Elliot said carelessly. When Lya didn't respond right away, the teen looked at her frowning at the look on her face. "...Lya? What's going on?" He asked worriedly, preparing himself to jump out of his seat and run over to her if need be.

The note crumpled in her hand as both clenched into fists, her nails digging into her palms. She closed her eyes, the tremor in her hand becoming a full body quivering. Ely sat down hard, her knees giving up the ghost on her. This was the second time she'd been brought to her knees that night. And by the same man.

She had to try multiple times before she successfully managed to speak, "He...he left for a few days. Because apparently, we need time apart." She couldn't manage the rest of her thoughts verbally. Even after seeing how afraid she'd been, he chose to leave her by herself. He just didn't care, it didn't matter to him. She didn't matter to him. Or, at the very least, she mattered less than his desire not to argue.

Another violent flare of anger welled up in Elliot, but it wasn't nearly as dramatic because, for some reason, he wasn't that surprised to hear about it and the situation was still tense. After clenching his fists silently in his chair and fighting back his rage at Gregor, the teen stood up and walked over to Lya placing his hand on her shoulder squeezing it reassuringly as he kneeled next to her.

"I see... well... in that case, why don't you come stay with me? I have a bed you could sleep in and I don't want you to be left alone with all of this craziness going on; it's not good for you...," Once again, Elliot had no idea where these words came from, but he knew he meant them as he gently rubbed her back. Then, the teen remembered something and blinked.

"Well, only if you'd like to of course... and don't mind sneaking into my dorm room to stay with me... or perhaps we could stay here." The teen added all of this as an afterthought. Recoiling from the idea at first, but beginning to consider the options as he took it more and more seriously.

A flash in her amber eyes recoiled from the idea of staying in the house with a vengeance. And then she returned to the rest of the statement, for some reason, reacting almost shyly. "You...wouldn't mind?" A ghost of her trickster's spirit turned up the corner of Ely's mouth as he mentioned sneaking into his dorm.

"You won't mind putting up with me invading your space, darlin'?" Again, she could fake until she made it. She was trying to be the more bubbly Ely, asking such an important question like a joke. Disguising her own anxieties behind that humor. Still, she let her head bump his shoulder lightly, affectionately.

She looked around the house. She still hadn't added any of her own touches to the home. Perhaps that was a bit of a quiet indicator. Right at that moment, she didn't feel like this was her home. That this was her place. She brought her eyes back to his, vaguely troubled but clearing as if she'd made up her mind about something. "As long as you wouldn't be bothered having me, I'd love to come back to your dorm. I always wanted to sneak into a dorm against the rules." She gave an impish grin, a dimple winking at him.

Elliot blinked in embarrassed surprise at how quickly and easily Lya had latched on to the idea and ended up scratching the back of his head glancing away from the No Moon. The teen knew from experience that the impish look on her face couldn't bode well, but being worried about Lya and being a man, he couldn't back out now.

"It'd be no problem at all," he said looking back at her with a smile, "go ahead and grab anything you might need. I'll be waiting here. Oh! and take these guys with you-," he takes Georgie off of his shoulder and places him on hers while motioning that Ventus and Aqua stay with her, "just in case you need any help; you can't be too careful and in the meantime, they could probably help you pack!"

The teen tilted his head a bit smiling at Lya. Even though he risked both of them getting into trouble, not to mention the fact that she was staying with him in the first place, he was still glad that she was going to be staying with him tonight... and possibly a few nights more... Depending on her of course.

Almost as if she sensed his reservations, she squeezed his shoulder. "I'll behave. I promise." She tossed over her shoulder, scooping the chick into her arms and cradling the fluffy little thing. Her footsteps pattered. It could likely be assumed that Lya would actively try to behave. That didn't mean accidents didn't happen.

Not even ten minutes go by before her footsteps patter down the stairs. She'd changed out of the pretty date clothes and into something more comfortable and more Ely. The tight black jeans and loose fleece in forest green would keep her warm. Her bag, no bigger than a good sized tote bag, had anything she needed in it. She still cradled the feathered one in her arms, and he'd gone right to sleep.

"I think I'm ready to get out of here. Thanks for your help, girls." She told the spirits softly. Her face had a somewhat closed look on it. The No Moon was ready to be away from the house. She looked at Elliot. "Thank you. I don't want to be alone. And I don't want to be in this house, right now."

Elliot blinked and then smiled at the No Moon as she ran off. "...But what if I don't want you to behave...," the teen thought as, inevitably, a string of dirty thoughts filled his mind. Caught off-guard by the sudden onslaught, Elliot blushed deep red and had a mini freak out while the woman was gone, but he managed to get himself under control before she returned although he looked a bit flustered as she came back.

Lya's words managed to calm the teen down making him nod. Then, he lead then took Lya's hand on instinct/impulse before leading the way out of Lya and Gregor's place heading back towards his own dorm. Though his heart beat furiously and he repeatedly told himself nothing would happen, something deep within him told him that tonight would be a very eventful night for him...

She noted the flustered countenance, and had to wonder about it. It was certainly nothing that had happened in the past half an hour, so...? She gave him a brief searching look before she shrugged it off. Her fingers twined with his automatically, and she followed him.

She had a moment to think about the night ahead of them. And for just a moment, her heart pitter pattered. Why did this feel like some experience she'd been cheated out of? One she should have had when she was younger. She mentally shrugged, and spoke softly out loud. "Laissez les bon temps rouler."
