Title: The First Meeting [Hunter and Mika]
Post by: Mika Sasaki on July 18, 2012, 11:28:00 am
Mika walked out of a shadow on the roof.  Something about this place from yesterday had called her back.  She hadn't even looked inside to see what the building was.  She walked through the door on the roof into the building itself.

As the door slammed shut behind her, it echoed through the empty, old building. Which made the click of the lock on the door that much more audible when it engaged a handful of seconds after the door slammed shut.

When Mika checks the door again, it is locked and shut tight. Strangely, it appears to have been welded shut. And those welds have not been tampered with. It looks as if the welding was done yesterday, yet hadn't she just yanked this door open to enter?

Mika stared at the door in disbelief for a minute.  She couldn't believe her eyes looking at the welding.  She shook her head and started to walk down the hallway. It was clear she wasn't going back the way she came, so she continued on. "Hello." she called out.

Her voice moved down the empty halls, coming back to her somewhat distorted. For a moment, her ears deceive her, and she'd swear she hears, "Hell now." In that disembodied echo that her voice had become.

The building is old, derelict. The walls are plain and white, though odd stains decorate here and there. Some are a light muddy brown, while others are so dark, they are almost black. This place is well illuminated, despite the lack of apparent windows.

Various innocuous equipment is scattered over the floors. Old machines are haphazardly placed. Despite being empty for quite some time, there is no debris in the halls or rooms that suggest teens or other curious folk have been in here. Decidedly odd, that fact.

Mika continued down the halls trying her best not to think about what made up the stains.  The echo had sent chills down her spine, and her wings had twitched in reaction.  She stopped and peered in an open room.  Taking a breath she took a step inside, being careful not to touch any of the equipment.  Random medical equipment wasn't something she was dying to inspect.  She looked around the room, trying to see if there was any signs of life, even an animal, just something.

Her deep breath returns the smell of must and decay. It's dusty and dingy. The sweet and sickly smell of diseased death still lingers in the air of the hospital. And it's now hanging about in her lungs.

A paper flutters to the ground in an unknown breeze not far from Mika's position. There is no sign of life here. Mika's inclined to believe that, even if animals had taken to using this as a haven, they're more likely to be located on the lower levels, than the higher ones.

Mika retreats from the room, and starts to head down the hallway again.  She covered her mouth and nose with her hand in at attempt to block out as much of the smells as she could.  She finally stumbled on a staircase and makes her way down a level, still looking for a door that might lead back outside.  Although her growing curiosity about the building was slowing her search.

The stairway is dark. It feels as if something is stalking her through it. It's unsettling, and vaguely frightening. It makes her hate rounding corners blind, and leaving her back exposed. The area between her wings is starting to itch.

She reaches the next floor, stumbling through the door that leads there, and slamming it closed behind her. Her heart is racing. There's a cold sweat running down her back.

Once the pounding of her heart fades from her ears, she's able to hear an odd, faint squealing noise. Like wheels.

Mika's wings and back twitched as she walked down the corridor.  At the sound of the squealing her whole body tenses.  She tries to keep calm as she looks for the origin of the sound.  She takes slow, silent steps in an attempt to hide her presence from whatever is here, but she couldn't shake the sound of the wheels from her brain.

From an intersecting hallway in front of Mika, a hospital bed rolls forward. Out of the corridor to crash noisily into wall across from it. The patter of footsteps can be heard retreating down that corridor at a scampering pace. If it weren't for this being an abandoned hospital, it might have almost been cute. Now? It's just fear inducing.

Mikas heart raced as she quickened her pace. She moved away from the bed at a run. the whole air of the building was unsettling

In a corridor down the opposite direction, a wheelchair rolled out, and once again those scampering footsteps can be heard in retreat from the direction.

She has the hallway back toward the stairwell. That didn't seem a welcoming possibility, considering the feeling of being stalked. She had the hallway forward, toward the bed, and the hallway back, toward the wheelchair. As options go, hers were really beginning to suck.

Mika took a deep breath and contemplated her options. the last thing she wanted was to go to the stairs. she slowly crept in the direction of the wheel chair. "what is here?" she whispered

No voice answered her whispered query. Eyes are on her, though, as she pads toward the wheel chair. Her eye catches movement, but it's gone before she can register more than that. And then a faint giggle sounded from the hall in front of her.

Mika's mind races. are there children here? runs through her mind. her eyes dart around looking for anymore signs of movement.  the giggle is eerie and sends shivers through her which makes her feathers twitch.

No movement is apparent, but a child's voice whispers. A little boy's voice says, "Come play with us. Nobody ever comes to play with us, anymore. Please?" It's so sweet, so pleading, and a little sad.

Mika's wings tense up, but the child's voice hits a nerve.  She immediately thinks of the lonely years in the orphanage.  Somewhere in teh back of her mind a voice screams at her to run, but it is overpowered as she takes tentative steps towards the boys voice.

A little face peers around the corner at her, one dark eye on her. His hair is also dark. He looks to be a boy between the ages of 7 and 8. He is small for his age, and has an adorable little cowlick in his bangs. "You don't have to be afraid. I won't hurt you. Neither will my other friends." He is carrying a very ratty old teddy bear. He is also clearly a shade.

Mika takes a few more slow steps towards the little boy, her fear being overpowered by the urge to talk to the boy.  "Hello, what's your name?" she asks him quietly.  She takes to a knee to be on his eye level.  "My name is Mika." she says with a soft smile.  "Where are your friends?"

He steps further out, clutching the teddy bear tighter. He comes forward slowly, dark eyes watching cautiously. "I'm Hunter. My friends don't like it up here. They say something scary lives here. But I heard you. And I wanted to come save you." He straightened up proudly.

Mika gave hunter a warm smile.  "That's very nice of you Hunter."  She looked in his eyes, "Is there anything else you can tell me about this place?"  She tried to keep her voice soothing, but she knew if she was going to get out of here, she could use his help.

His forehead scrunched adorably in thought. "There's good hiding places on the first and second floor. Lots of different things to hide behind or in. Umm, the bad thing is only up here. We should go, actually. Before it comes back." He tugged at the teddy bear's ear vaguely, seeming once more nervous.

He tucked the bear headfirst into his waistband, reaching out for Mika's hand. "You should follow me."

As if he had an uncanny sense of...something, he began leading her down twisting corridors. He put his finger to his mouth to indicate silence. The hospital appears to be a maze of winding halls. It becomes fairly obvious that, in it's time, this hospital was huge, and very busy. It's difficult to imagine the need for such a huge hospital.

The two pass by what appear to be exceptionally large chutes. Chutes the measure 6x6.

As they pass through the winding hallways Mika knows she would have been lost forever without Hunter.  The large shoots send shivers down her spine.  What would something that large be used for.  She turned to Hunter and in a whisper only audible to him she asked, "What are those, they're creepy?" she pointed to the shoots.

He looks at the chute. "After people got really sick, and the tall man in black came to get them, they were put in there, like a big slide. I've been in one before. It wasn't as fun as I thought it would be." He said. "You should only go in there if you have to hide. It's very dark."

Mika nodded at his description.  It explained how uneasy it made her feel. "I think I'll avoid going in one if at all possible." She said with a soft smile. "Shall we keep going. I'll follow your lead." She squeezed his hand lightly.

He nodded his head. "Sometimes, it's the only place to hide from the void beasts. They don't like the tunnels." He said. But, he nodded and began leading her down the hall. They reached a stairwell door. "Be very quiet. It doesn't know I've brought you here. It's still looking other places for you. It...wants you. Why does it want you, Mika?"

Mika's eyes widened momentarily at Hunter's comment.  She shook her head softly, "I don't know why it wants me Hunter."  Her mind raced through anything she could think of that would explain it.  "Something about this building drew me back, after I landed on the roof the other day.  But when I came in, the door welded shut behind me, or at least I think that's what happened.  I was searching for a way out or a sign of anything, when I met you."  The color had drained slightly from her face.  "How can you tell it is searching for me?" she asked quietly.

Hunter nodded solemnly. "Then it really wants you badly. I can feel it, when it's hunting. And I know who it's hunting when it does." He shrugged his shoulders, unwilling or unable to explain further. "It likes new blood, but it's more than that with you."

The color completely drained from Mika's face.  What had she gotten herself into, had she really needed to come back to explore this place.  She shook her head quickly dislodging the should have thoughts.  She looked at Hunter willing them to continue on.  "Will you know if it gets close?  All I pick up on in here is feelings of being watched every so often."  Her whisper was soft, but obviously distraught.

He nodded his head. The little boy looked as if he wanted to comfort Mika, but couldn't figure out how to do so. He gestured with a jerk of his head for her to open the door. His little boy eyes darted around, seeming very aware. It was sad that a child had to fear such things.

Mika's eyes filled with a sad look at the boys fear.  She understood his fear, she spent her childhood surrounded by it between her father and the orphanage.  She understood what he was asking her to do.  She opened the door as slowly and quietly as she could.  She peered her head through the door cautiously, looking to see if she could see anything.  She wanted to say something but feared speaking would draw whatever was after her closer.

As she peers around, there is nothing but dancing shadow, and heavy silence. He simply passes through the door, and awaits her on the other side. He is peering around very cautiously. He waits for Mika to start down the stairs ahead of him, moving like a sentry behind her to guard her back. It's the sort of action that is awe inspiring and sad. A boy so young, willing to protect.

The stairwell's shadows flung themselves around, as if somewhere, a candle was lit whose flame swayed and moved. That heavy silence settled about the shoulders like an uncomfortable mantle.

Mika continued down the stairs keeping an eye on the dancing shadows.  Despite her uneasy feelings in the stairwell the fact that hunter was protecting her calmed her nerves a bit.  As they continued she whispered to him "how far do we need to go." She still wasn't fond of the stairs.

He breathes the barest sound of a whisper to her. "The first floor is safer, I think. We will go there." They continued to walk, the only sound the light scrape of Mika's footsteps. Descending down the stairs, it got dark and darker. At a certain point, Hunter holds his hand up, and a light shines from his palm to guide Mika's way safely.

They reach the door, and he shoves his head through the door to look around. He pulls it back out, and steps away, gesturing her to proceed him.

Mika nods at the boys gesture.  She opens the door quietly and walks through to the hallway.  Her heart rate slows a fraction leaving the stairwell behind.  I hope we don't need to go back in there again. she whispered to herself in her head.  She waited to Hunter to come through and lead the way.

Hunter stepped through the door, and the moment he cleared to the other side of it, his form changed. No longer a little boy of 7 or 8 with a teddy bear, he became a man of 20 with a firearm that didn't look wholly substantial. Mika could guess that it wouldn't harm her, but another ghost? If he knew how to use it, he could certainly take one out. Or a dozen.

He's dressed in dark jeans and a vaguely torn up long sleeved green sweater. It looks like this shirt has seen it's run ins with a blade of some sort. Most of the rips are on the arms, aside from one, which is centered over his abdomen.

He stands approximately 5'10, his black hair offset by piercing leaf green eyes. He has the remnants of a tan, the same way he'd had when he'd died. He looked rangy and lean. He also appeared honed down the way a fighter would be.

He steps in front of her, moving to act as a shield for her nearly automatically, peering this way and that down the halls. After a moment of listening and his eyes looking deeply, he gives a nod. "All is quiet. We can move on now." It's clear he's waiting to see her reaction to what just happened. The man wondered if she even remembered him.

Mika stared at Hunter.  Her heart had stopped for a moment at the change in him.  It had shocked her, but she couldn't stop staring at him.  There was something so familiar about him, so safe, so warm.  His shielding her just made her heart beat a little faster.  Why does this feel so familiar, she asked herself.  "I swear it's like I know him.  I have to, he's just so...." her mind trailed off still captivated by the man standing in front of her.  She took a deep breath trying to regain some composure, she didn't normally act like this.  She took a step up behind him, and whispered, "Okay, I'll follow you." She stared into those green eyes searching them, while searching her own mind.  She swore she could be lost in those eyes.

He offers his hand for her to hold in a silent gesture. He looks about to say something, but changes his mind. His eyes linger on hers for a moment longer than they need to. "Come this way with me, little angel. There's a safe room this way. We'll go there, and figure out how we should get you out of here." They seem to be moving off down the left hand hallway.

There is something so familiar about the way that he moves, but also about his body shifting minutely toward perceived possibilities of danger. Papers ruffle on the floor, and he'd moved her behind him, a hand on his gun in a flash of motion. Protecting her seems paramount.

As he gazed into her eyes it just made Mika feel safer., she had been in no rush herself to break the stare  She knew there was something in her mind that knew him, but her recent trauma's and rapid recollection of her life before the orphanage had made the past difficult to remember at times.  She noticed the hesitation in saying something to her, but it wasn't her way to push people to tell her what was on their mind.  However when he called her "Little angel" that had stuck a cord.  Normally names people called her induced fear and terror, although the person most likely to call her something other than Mika at this point was her father.  Little angel however seemed soothing.  The words hit her ears and she was instantly calmer, and even more drawn to Hunter.

The way he was intent on protecting her was something special.  She didn't fight it at all.  If he wanted to make sure she was safe she would let him.  She felt safe with him.  She continued to follow him to the safe room as her mind searched for answers.

Footsteps pattered in a hallway behind them, but out of view. The fact that they're loud enough to be heard didn't bode well. A thing Hunter seems to realize. He recognizes whatever it is. He isn't alarmed enough for it to be the big baddie. But he's still not precisely happy.

He moves to a door located off the hallway, opening it and pulling Mika inside. It's a closet. Dark and silent. Those footsteps were coming closer. But the door was shut tight. In an odd movement, she's pulled between his body and the wall, his form creating a shelter for her more petite one. He does not touch her inappropriately, and actually keeps the contact extremely chaste, despite the very intimacy of how they stood.

The reason for this is clear when the door opens. Whatever it was looked inside, audibly sniffing. Mika had a minute to wonder how it couldn't see them. Somewhere in the back of her mind, the way that he is shielding her now is so familiar, moreso than any other thing he's done. His leaf green eyes gazed down at her. Something in his scent is familiar. He smells of the forest, crisp and woodsy. Cedar, sandelwood and a touch of spice beneath it.

Mika keeps her eyes locked on his as whatever is there sniffs the room.  As his actions become more and more familiar to her she starts to remember.  The scent was the biggest trigger though.  It smelled like the air that would waft through the windows of the orphanage.  It had been in the middle of the Adirondack mountains.  The rolling mountains with their lush trees and woods.  She had never been able to fully explore the forests around the orphanage, but the scent was unmistakable.  She wanted to ask Hunter, more than anything, but whatever it was sniffing was still there and she didn't dare make a sound.   She just stayed there, shielded by Hunter feeling that he wouldn't let anything happen to her if he could help it.

The thing sniffed and sniffed, but didn't seem to find what it looked for. It gave a grunt and padded away, the door closing behind it. Hunter remained as he was for a full minute before he moved. A small light glowed from his palm, allowing illumination.

"Looks like we might be camping here for a little bit. I didn't realize that it was already time for the dogs to be on rounds." He shook his head. "Perception of time is so odd here." He now stood about four inches away from her, green eyes once more on her.

He visibly tried not to let his eyes move over her, as if he wanted to memorize who she'd become. It didn't work very well to try and stop it. He'd seen the questions on her face, and would give her time to ask them.

Mika nodded softly, "It's okay, if staying here keeps us from anything particualy unpleasant I don't mind."  Mika took a deep breath as she realized she was staring into his eyes again.  "Hunter?" she started quietly, "I know you don't I?  I know I do." she was convinced.  "You smell like the orphanage, and everything about you seems, so familiar, so safe."  her heart was pounding a bit.  "It's like my head has been in a fog for weeks, ever since I started remembering before the orphanage."  Her eyes found the floor as she looked down ashamed of herself.  Ashamed her deteriorated mental state as of late was making even the memories she was sure of hazy.  "I'm sorry that I have to ask you to make sure my feelings are right, and my mind isn't just playing tricks on me again."

He gazed at her, one of his hands lifting to place a gentle index finger under her chin. "Never lower your eyes that way, little angel. Not for me. You never have to." He said, once her eyes were back on his. He folded his arms across his chest, preparing to answer her questions.

"Yes. You do know me. I'm sorry that so much has happened that it's crowded out other memories, but I imagine yours of the orphanage were not pleasant. So, if they remain cloudy and you're happier, it's not so bad." He shrugged his shoulders. He opened his hands, as if offering something to her.

"I was there with you. I tried to protect you, when I could. You likely don't remember, or never realized that I stood as a guardian for you as often as I could, but I didn't want to intrude on you. So I didn't speak much or often." His eyes were serious, and focused on her face. It's a little intense, that look. It's flattering, as well, to have someone so intent upon your expression and words.

Mika's eyes widened slightly.  His touch was so light, and he kept calling her little angel.  It was still so soothing.  She could see him now.  He had never spoken to her much, but he was one of the few, if not the only one she could remember who never had said cruel things to her.  He had never beaten her up like the others, and he hadn't recoiled at the sight of her.  She shook her head lightly and stared deeply into his eyes again, as if that was the source of all her memories.  "You were nice to me." she said quietly, "You didn't run away when the freak came into the room like the others did."  She placed her hand lightly over her mouth, "You were the one that came in to bring me food on the bad days I had when they wouldn't let me out of the room, thinking I'd hurt the normal children."  A few tears had formed in the corners of her eyes.  "I can't believe I forgot." She sighed lightly, "I guess that's what happens when your father comes back into your life telling you you're a monster, and tries to destroy anything you have left of what you've come to know as yourself."  She said this sadly, not fully understanding how it was so easy to share with him.  A confused look crossed her face slightly, "How did you end up here?" she asked.

His lips twisted into a bitter snarl. "Those little monsters tormented an innocent girl because she was different. I think they're the last ones whose judgement is secure." He spat. "Their cruelty is something I will never be able to forget."

His tone softened, and his face smoothed out, coming back to a sweeter visage while he looked at her. "Of course I protected you. And I would have never dreamed of fearing you. You were far too sweet, too gentle. Even despite what they did to you.

You were like this little angel, wings a little dirty from whatever hell you'd dragged yourself out of, trying to stand against thrown stones and kicking feet. I couldn't let them try and destroy that light or let them remove the wings that would take you above them. You deserved better."
He realized exactly how poetic and sappy he'd gotten and shook his  head.

"My poetics pale, however. You were worth it, little one. I...hope you never doubt that. As for how I got here? I got sick. I died here." He said simply.

Mika listened to Hunter, soaking in every word he breathed.  A few tears ran down her cheeks as he talked about her.  She had never known someone at the orphanage had ever looked at her in such a light.  Back then she had thought she was a dark shadow, nothing worth looking at.  She never had thought anyone would have seen light in her darkness.  She smiled softly at Hunter, "They way you described me, it was beautiful." she breathed.  "I still have a hard time looking at myself and seeing light, rather than darkness.  I'm truly glad someone sees me like that."

As his explanation for how he had gotten there hit her, she found his eyes again.  She knew her own were showing sorrow.  She had known when she met him here again, that he wasn't alive, but that didn't make it any less cruel.  Hunter didn't deserve to be dead, he was too kind, too caring.  She whispered softly, "It's not fair."

He lifted a hand to tuck a lock of her hair away from her face, smiling slightly. "The brightest lights shine for others, little angel. You don't see your light, but someone should be reminding you that it's there, always. You shine so beautifully in the dark." His hand dropped back to his side, his fingers rubbing over one another as if the feel of her hair still lingered, and he wanted to keep it. "You are, and will ever be beautiful to someone who truly sees you."

He arched a brow, and asked her rhetorically, "What's fair, sweet angel? This world is continually proving that such things as fair, at least in the way our minds view it, doesn't exist. Don't bemoan it. Only realize it and face it.

My day and existence was made brighter that you found your way here. Somewhere, the scales are trying to balance. I watched you leave for a new life, and had my own taken. But the wheel spun you back to me. It's miraculous, in it's way."

Mika  blushed lightly at his words.  She had never been told such kind words.  She was still upset that his life had to end so early, but she was glad she had found him.  She looked him in the eyes and took his hand.  "I'm so glad I felt that I needed to explore this place.  If I hadn't come in I wouldn't have found you again."  Her eyes were filled with a soft care for Hunter.  "I wouldn't want to have not found you."  She touched his face softly.  There was something about him that seemed to resonate with her.

He laid his face in her hand, kissing the palm. "I'm glad you came too, but I don't like that you've found yourself in danger because of it." He gathered her hand into his own. "Don't worry, little angel. I'll find a safe way to get you out. And I can find you in your dreams.

I don't want you to come back here again. Not while it wants you. Not if you can't hide the sweet light of you. He'll take that light. That's what he wants. Creatures of shadow always wish to dim the brightest flames."
There was an ease in the way he touched her. As if it were perfectly natural.

Somewhere in his mind and in his eyes, there was a spark of clear disbelief that he was being accepted so readily. She hadn't been the only one who'd ever felt lonely or unwanted. Deep inside, part of him was shocked that she offered touch or that she desired his own, at all. He does not surrender her hand, unless she removes it from his.

Mika smiled and said softly, "Getting myself into trouble seems to be a specialty of mine."  She didn't take her hand back.  "I trust you.  I know you'll get me out safe."  She looked in his eyes, "I won't come back again if its not safe Hunter.  I didn't know I had a light I needed to hide."  she whispered to him.

He stepped closer to her, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "It is a crime that no one has told you just how radiantly you burn, sweet angel. And trouble always finds the unsuspecting. Perhaps you must learn to seek for the clues, elsewise this trouble will always find you, little one." Her told her, his index finger running the bridge of her nose to the tip of it playfully.

He chuckled softly, kissing her forehead again, before simply brushing his palms on her arms lightly. He sobered slightly. "If you ever come back here, little angel, you must know how to shield yourself, your aura and mind. Hide the light in darkness." He told her. "I do hope you come back to me, or even come find me in your dreams. I'll be waiting there, once you leave. I hope you'll not forget me." He said, looking into her eyes.

Mika blushed slightly at the kiss on her forehead.  "I will have to learn to better see the clues in my surroundings I guess.  I do have a habit of  putting myself in harms way." she sighed lightly.  She thought about what he said about hiding her light in the darkness.  "I guess that should be possible.  Is it possible to hide your soul and mask it with your blood if that is pure darkness."

She looked back in his eyes, "I could never forget you again Hunter.  I'm mad I forgot you in the first place.  Of course I'll visit you in my dreams, until I figure out how to hide my soul.  My guess is the light angel soul that resides in my heart is probably what its drawn too."  She sighed, looking at him intently.

As if he heard her thought, he nodded his head. "Yes, it is possible to wrap the darkness that runs in your veins, that you call to your fingertips, around yourself as a cloak. It will shield you. There must be someone at the school who can teach you how to do these things?" He brushed her hair back again, this time running a lock of her hair through his fingers.

Mika smiled at Hunter although a brief look of confusion crossed her face when he answered her internal question.  "There will be someone who is well versed in dark magic.  My brother could help me if I find him again.  The teacher in charge of the Night class should be able to help me." she rambled forgetting she was talking not just to herself.  She looked back into his eyes as he ran his fingers through her hair not stopping him, everything about him was so familiar and comforting.  "So what do we do now?" she asked softly.

His fingers still tested the weight of the lock of hair he held, it's softness, the life of it. His brow furrowed into concentration on her hair. It was the fascination of death with life. One who remembers life, but has no more of it.

His fingers drop the lock of hair, but a gentle index finger moves over her cheekbone with a butterfly brush. He is intent on gathering texture, warmth, the strength of the bones beneath the skin. From cheekbone to jawline, he traces, his hands always gentle. If it shocks her at anytime to have him doing this, he simply returns to last spot or thing that didn't do so.

For Mika, this felt odd. Such a mixture of emotion stirred inside her. A shyness that he wanted to so closely study her. Not someone else, her. There's a gorgeous man with his hands on her, artistic, careful, gentle hands. There's an ache at the thought of why he might be memorizing the feel of her skin and hair. It strikes her that he might be afraid he'll never be able to again.

The action is both accidently romantic, and innocently erotic. It's a lethal combination to any woman.

Mika's breath caught in her throat as he traced her skin with his hands.  The way he was looking at her, the thoughts that he may never be able to do this again, all made her head swim.  The delicate feel of his hands were soothing, and at the same time made her heart race.  She didn't stop him, not that her body would have let her if she had tried.  She stared into his eyes as he tried to memorize her, taking the opportunity to do some studying of her own.  She wanted to know everything those eyes said to her.

His other hand joins the memorization, a flash in his eyes giving away the thought that both hands wanted the skin memory on their fingertips. Both hands move her hair back from her face to leave it free for his perusal.

His fingers trace over her brows, her temples, her jawline to her neck, the curvature of her ears, the bridge  of her nose. He seems to be avoiding her lips, though he's looking at them and attempting to school himself not to do so.

Instead he lays a kiss on her forehead, and to each of her cheeks in little whispering touches. The cheekbones receive little kisses over them.

His kisses were soft.  Somewhere in the back of her head a little voice started to think about Shinji, and how angry he would be.  Hunters touch however was intoxicating, and silenced the voice for now.  She shivered a bit at the kisses, not from fear or cold though.  Her own fingers traced his face softly.

For her, he would expend energy. He is warm to her touch, his skin far more physical than it normally would be. His lips still linger over her face for moments, before he moves his head back slightly.

His right hand lifts, fingertip feathering over her lips in an equally ticklish and erotic fashion. He traced the bow of it, eyes moving from hers to her mouth, back and forth. His green eyes had darkened, his pupils dilated. There is a question and a plea in his eyes that even he didn't know was there.

Mika was shocked at the feel of his skin, but happy to be able to feel it.  As his finger traced her lips she could feel them tigle from the ticklish nature.  She saw the look in his eyes, whether he knew it was there or not she could guess what he was thinking.  "Hunter." she whispered softly.

The pad of his thumb rested briefly on her lower lip, rubbing lightly over it. She'd said his name, and it had made him shiver. His thumb moved away from her lip, his hands framing her face so lightly. He looked at her mouth and into her eyes once more, before slowly lowering his head. He'd kiss her if she didn't stop him. His eyes remained on hers.

Mika stared back into those dark green eyes.  She was completely lost in the moment.  Maybe if she hadn't been so lost in his eyes, his touch she would have stopped him, told him about Shinji.  However for her at this moment nothing else existed but the two of them.  The feel of his thumb on her lip was so soft, so caring.  Her body responded without any thoughts running through her mind.  Her heart raced, she breath caught in her chest.  Even if she had wanted to stop him, in this moment she could not.  Her eyes stayed locked on his.

Her lack of hesitation made his decision for him. With a butterfly touch, his lips settled over hers. Compared to what she's experienced likely, it's a very chaste kiss, but it's still speaking.

His lips only sipped at hers, catching the barest of her flavor. It remained gentlemanly. But it seemed to last for an eternity, that kiss there in that closet.

When the kiss ended, Mika could have sworn she and Hunter had been there forever.  She touched her lips softly, savoring the feel of his lips on hers.  She reached up and touched his bottom lip, carefully tracing it.    She stared into his eyes again, "Hunter." she whispered again.

He shuddered again when she said his name, laying his forehead against hers. One of his hands cradled the back of her head as if she were priceless. "You call my name, sweet angel. Do you beckon to the sweetest hell or the most precious heaven?" He murmured softly.

His breath was a sharp inhale when she touched her own fingers to his bottom lip, and forest eyes that had fallen snapped open to meet hers, the pupils deeply dilated. "Mika..." He said softly.

Mika's eyes never left his.  "I can't tell you where i beckon you too.  Both heaven and hell reside within me.  One courses through my veins, while the other holds root in my heart." she said softly but seriously.  "So I cannot answer that question for you."  She gave him a soft smile.  He said her own name with such soft care.  She blushed fully comprehending what just happened.  This closet was a sanctuary for her now.
