Stretching her wings to the sky a large red dragon circled the mountain. A few blasts of fire were launched harmlessly into the air, as if just a test. As she neared the treeline the dragon shifted to Mura's human form. She landed softly near the mouth of a cave. She had explored this cave before, but there was something she was looking for. Making her way to the depths of the cave, a few fireballs hovered over her head providing a source of light as she searched. Her fingers traced over the walls carefully.
A ways back in the cave she stopped suddenly looking at the wall curiously. A glimmer of red behind the rock of the cave. Her hands shifted quickly to claws and her tail emerged. She quickly dug into the rock, cutting through it swiftly until the red stone was fully exposed. A good sized uncut ruby lie in her hands, as she sat down with it. She ran the stone through her hands, letting fire and warmth pulse through the gem. The heat penetrated the gem, polishing it till the white streaks shown through. The star ruby sat in her hands, as Homura looked pleased. A small bag had hung at her waist, and she pulled out a flash of sliver from it, and began working away, humming happily.
-
Ren began to appear in the cave, and he walked to where Homura was sitting.
-
Homura looked up feeling Ren enter the cave. She smiled brightly as the fire balls danced around her head as her hands worked carefully on something, keeping it hidden slightly. "Ren!"
-
Ren smiled and walked towards her, smiling.
"What ya doing?"
-
She grinned and hid something that was a flash of red and silver behind her back. "What am I doing? Hmmm.....nothing much. Just working on something." She grinned teasingly.
-
Ren made a slight pout and crept closer.
"What is that?" He asked, pointing to what she was hiding.
-
Mura slid back a bit, beaming up at him. Trying to keep an innocent look in her eyes. "I don't know what you are talking about." Whatever she was holding was grasped tightly in her hand. Her eyes glinted mischeviously.
-
Ren decided to leave it alone, and decided to lean on the wall, watching Homura intently.
-
Mura smiled bightly as she looked back at what was in her hands. Her hands emitting a large amount of warmth she manipulated the silver into the pendent shape around the star ruby. A warm red light surrounded it as she finished it, settling into the gem. It gave off the same warm glow, as she looked back up at Ren.
-
Ren eyed Homura and he smirked, really wanting to know what it was.. If Homura really knew Ren, she could feel his curiosity.
-
Homura could feel Ren's curiosity growing. She grinned lightly, and stood up spinning towards him threading the pendant through a chain behind her back. She walked up closer to him. "You really want to see it?" She asked softly knowing full well that he did. "You'll have to close your eyes first."
-
He closed his eyes with a slight pout, but not before giving her a wink.
-
She smiled as he winked and pouted. She pulled the necklace out from behind her back. She could feel the flames that flickered inside the pendant itself. She placed it in his hand as she placed a soft kiss on his lips. "Okay you can open them."
-
He opened his eyes and was speechless.
"Homura... It's..."
-
Mura watched his eyes, biting her lip lightly. "I just wanted to make you something. I hope you like it." She had spent the day crafting the stone down to what she hoped would be perfect. The stone continued to carry the warmth, her warmth.
-
He saw the flame inside of the stone and smiled. He kissed her softly.
"I haven't made you anything."
-
Homura smiled as he kissed her. She wrapped her arms around him. "It does't matter to me. I wanted to make it for you. I wanted to make something that would always be warm." She nuzzled into his chest lightly.
-
He put it around his neck and hugged her, pulling her close.
-
She beamed as he put it on, seeing it making him happy it made her heart light. She sighed into his embrace. She kissed his neck softly.
-
He pulled her closer and kissed her cheek.
"I love you."
-
She blushed lightly, "I love you too. So much more than I can ever say." She kissed his lips softly before leaning her head on his shoulder.
-
"How did I get so lucky?" He asked, smiling.
-
Homura curled against him, smiling. "I ask myself the same thing. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but whatever it is I'm glad for it." She squeezed his hand gently.
-
He smiled and walked them out of the cave.
-
She followed his lead. Her fingers intertwined with his as they walked, while her head rested lightly on his shoulder. This was how it was supposed to be.
-
He smiled and kept walking, till they saw light.
-
As they walked outside the cave the wind rustled through her hair. She smiled and looked up at the sky. Her wings came out and one wrapped around him. The mountain always made her feel at rest, and it was perfect with Ren.
