"a small island near oraion is where shinkuru has set up headquarters. here he can help with teaching while also keeping up with his company. shinkuru sat in a lab chair. over looking a formula sheet with great intent"

"Your face is gonna get stuck like that if you stare so hard!" a voice said from behind. Freya stepped out of the shadows, her clothes voered in blood as she leaned against the back of his chair. "If it gets stuck like that I'll laugh." she pushed a black porcelain mask to the side and yawned.

"shinkuru leaned his head back to look at her and noticed the blood" been busy i see, and my face wont get stuck....not this time at least "shinkuru put down the sheet and turned his chair toward her" wassup?

She rolled her eyes "Sure it won't" she muttered, shrugging off her bloody jacket. "Mh nothing just got back from an assignment." she answered. She reached over and picked up the sheet "So what sort of data are you looking at now?"

the formula is to turn the elements into a crystal or jewel state. but theres a part thats just not fitting "shinkuru looked back toward the sheet and bit his finger as he thought" but forget about that, what can i help you with?

"Hmm bored, didn't feel like heading home yet so thought I'd drop in." she said and looked at the sheet. "Mhh odd trying to turn an element into a crystal or jewel, not a very natural state for them to be in. Would probably be easier to transfer an element energy into an already made crystal or jewel and let them naturally merge together." she said, yawning softly. "Really should go change my clothes..."she mumbled.

converting the energy into an already made crystal or jewel would cause the energy to diminish when its being used. by turning the element itself into the crystal, would give it an unlimited amount of energy. " shinkuru wrote something down and looked back to freya" if you want theres some spare clothes in the locker room back there "he pointed to a doorway behind him" the locker rooms down the hall to the left. theres also a shower too

She nodded "True it diminishes, but converting it on its own makes the power itself unstable and volitile, studying how it naturally takes in the crystal form and merges might help with converting it to make the element a bit more stable and usable." she headed off in the direction he pointed in "Thanks it'll be nice to get out of uniform." she said before disappearing.

"shinkuru nodded, taking her words into account" hmmmm "he began sketching something out, writing formulas as he sketched" then if i do this " shinkuru erased a part of the formula on the original sheet and replaced it with another formula" crazy....but it should work "shinkuru nodded and placed the papers in a drawer" what to do now?

She came back 20 minutes later wearing black jeans and a dark red sweater "So much better!" smiling she took a seat and ran her fingers through her hair to dry it.

"As much as I love work I really hate getting dirty." she began braiding her hair into one braid "Wasn't supposed to be a bloody mission but my partner decided to muck it all up."

this sounds interesting "shinkuru leaned back in his chair and crossed his legs, ready to listen"

She rolled her eyes at him, "My partner, Shield, and I were going undercover as a married couple. I've worked with Shield before, he's annoying, rude and a bit of a pervert. We were doing fine, managed to get close to the target gain his trust along with his annoying cohorts. We had one chance to kill him, no witnesses and it would all be blamed on one of his little subordinates but somehow Shield managed to trip several alarms in the guys safe house so we had to fight our way through our targets henchmen." she explained with a slight frown. "Lucky for us the henchmen were easy so we managed to reach the target before he escaped, took him out easy and had a new cover up story made. I hate Shield, and I hate being paired with him on missions..."

"while she spoke shinkuru grabbed his tablet and pulled up information on shield. in seconds he had his whole name, age, height, weight, social, etc. shinkuru laughed, reading the things he pulled up. videos of shield doing the things he does best, which is fail, shinkuru also happened across a security footage of freya and shield on there recent mission" this can't be good "shinkuru deleted the video file and all known copies of it." thats better " he smiled and put his tablet back down and looked at freya as she finished up" he sounds...interesting in a sort of way. im pretty sure deep down inside you think he's a great guy. "shinkuru tried to stifle back his laugh but could barely contain it"

She glared at him "Shiku don't think I won't throw something at you." she said, letting a bit of fire dance on her fingertips. "They should have him killed off for messing up the whole assignment. I have a reputation to keep clean and Shield sucks." she pouted and crossed her arms.

"shinkuru laughed" he didn't mess it up he simply....took another direction. and what reputation would that be?

"You tempt me to throw something." she mumbled to herself. "Obviously I have the Dracone reputation to uphold!"

oh yes, silly of me to forget, the high order of dracone assassins. " shinkuru laughed and spun a pen around on his finger"

She pouted "You're so mean Shiku" she stuck her tongue out. "We're not just assassins, we do other in the dark things so ha."

other in the dark things? stuff like that should stay in the sex shops "shinkuru smiled and turned to his computer, cutting it on" what is your favorite.... in the dark thing "shinkuru laughed out loud"

She threw a small fireball at his chair "Don't be mean to me, I've had a very exhausted last few weeks, so be nice." she said and leaned back. "Of course my favorite shadow occupation is Assassin work, mercenary work, would also be cool but that's too open, thievery wouldn't be much of a challenge and any other option is boring. Assassinations are much more suited to me."

"shinkuru jumped when the fire hit his chair, jumping up he manipulated the flames and removed them from the chair still smiling" ok, im sorry "he smiled and patted the smoke away" if you need an intel and tech man. im your guy, nobodies better than me when it comes to technology

She nodded, summoning the flame back into her hand she let it dance between her fingers. "So what has been happening since I've been away?"

i dont know, i've been so busy running my company i haven't even gotten any time to check. "shinkuru frowned to himself" man i've been in here so long i havent even checked on hoshi....she's probably going to kill me

She shook her head "Terrible, its never good to be so caught up in work that you forget others."

She pouted in her seat, tempted to throw another fireball at him. "So you really don't know whats been happening, surly you've got technology all over to keep watch."

She caught it and grinned "Tsk wish I had a knack for tech stuff could take my magic research to new lengths. Alas my mind favors the archaic enhancements." she said absently.

She rolled her eyes "Nope, video games were never on the agenda in my house. Had better things to do, training and such, sides way more fun jumping through the shadows in a game of tag." she examined the joystick and experimentally moved it around.

riiiiight " shinkuru twirled his finger near his temple, the universal sign for crazy and watched as she experimented with the bot" an assassin skilled in hundreds of different arts, fighting styles and what nots. and whats her kryptonite? tech " shinkuru laughed"

Hoshi came in threw the back door. she quietly looked over too see that he was talking to Freya. She knew he was busy so she didnt interrupt him & the ladys work or whatever they was doing. she placed the box on the lab table (Inside was a ring) with a note on top that says "From: Your Love". Inside it said " i didnt want to bother you but i just wanted to say i was back in town.. im sorry that i didnt tell you that i was leaving . but ill come back later. but here is something i got for you from Paris!. -Love Hoshi- ... P.s. Hope you like it" . She went out the back again & locked there door. She never did give him back the spare Key he gave her.

She briefly looked away from the screen "How cute, someones lover left a gift." smiling she went back to the screen, and soon a frown froemd on her face "Hey when were plans announced to demolish the school?"

"shinkuru was about to say something, until she said something about the school being demolished" demolished? mr kyo never said anything about the school being demolished "shinkuru walked over to the screen" whats with the forest...alot of its burned. the market too... oh man!!

Freya was silent for a few minutes before she jumped out of her seat glaring at the screen. "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY STORE?!" she crossed her arms as a few flames lit the bottom of her hair. "I come home and my store is destroyed...that's precious research GONE!"

it'll be ok freya we just ha-......" shinkuru eyes opened wide a she looked at the market" WHAT HAPPENED TO MY STORE!!!! "shinkuru grabbed his head" GIMME THAT!! "shinkuru took some if the flames freya created and mad them larger, holding it above his head" SOMEBODIES GONNA DIE NOW!!

"So much research...my unfinished experiments...gone." she said sadly. "Oh and the school, the poor school and forest also attacked." she said, with a little less sadness.

"I don't know but we are going to find out and when we do we are so going to have a strongly worded discussion with them." she said and crossed her arms. "We need to find out what the hell has been happening since we've been MIA."

Yukio walked into the store, shaking his head.
"While both of you were gone, the school was the target of an invasion, led by a man named Yuji Uzumaki. No one knows much about him, but they seem to know everything about us." He said.

"They better be prepared to pay up for the damages to my store so I can rebuild it." she said and crossed her arms. "Why is it this place is always being targeted by something or someone?"

Yukio shook his head, wrapping his arms around Freya, kissing her cheek.
"The island is safe, for now. The whole market is in ruins, however."

She rested back against him. "I'll have to restart all of my experiments again..." she said, pouting slightly. "Such a pain."

"kuru pulled himself together and sat back at his computer" hey yukio "kuru typed on his computer" hmmmm, i apparently cant find info on this guy... how does he have not one file on him?

Yukio waved at Kuru, then looked at Freya.
"He's not from this planet. No one knows where he's from, except for Ren Nara, Genji and Dawn Uzumaki, and Galexy Hozuki. That's all I got from mind reading."

hmmm "kuru leaned back and pondered"

"Well that's just lovely. As long as they pay up for the damages to me and the rest of the store owners then I could care less where he and his band of merry thugs came from." she said.

He sighed and looked at Freya.
"Hey, do you think you heal this gash on my stomach?" He said, taking off his shirt, a stitched gash can be seen going up his stomach.

She looked at the wound in shock "You've been walking around like this?!" frowning she made him sit down and examined the stiches. "I have a healing salve on me, but it's my last one. I can't remake anymore til Artem comes back." she said. Reaching in a shadow she took out a black canister.

"There's no other healer in town, and Lycus doesn't know how to heal wounds."

She carefully burned away the stitches, and began rubbing some of the salve on his wound. "I will be fixing that, I don't want either of you getting hurt and unable to heal since me and Artem are off on business trips." she muttered

"Who better to take care of me than my wife?" He asked, smiling.

She rolled her eyes and tugged his shirt down. "Well your wife is an assassin on the rise so she's never home." smiling she kissed his cheek. "Which means you need to take better care to not get wounded."

"But I miss her!!" He said, pulling her on top of him.

She smiled and kissed his cheek, "And she's missed you too." she hugged him. "My next one won't be for awhile, they're still collecting info but I'll have to meet with Shield every so often so that'll be the only time I'm off the island." she said, grimacing at the thought of seeing her partner.

He noticed the look on her face and raised an eyebrow.
"What was that look about?" He asked.

She shook her head "Oh nothing, just hoping I can make those visits go quickly. I hate my partner."

"What's wrong with your partner?" He asked, tilting his head.

"Everything. I hate him, he's annoying, overconfident, perverted and rude. He nearly screwed up up this mission because he accidentally set off the alarms." she said.

"Hmmm.. Do I need to have a talk with him?" He asked, smiling evilly.

She giggled "No, you won't be threatening my partner. I'm not even supposed to be talking about him or my missions." she smiled and nuzzled his neck.

He smiled and kissed her softly.
"Well, you can't hide anything from me." He said, tapping his head gently.

"shinkuru walked through his lab busy as usual. on one of the tables were thousands of research notes, each pertaining to something different. shinkuru yawned and sat down with a cup of coffee in his hand" now lets check on..... "he looked at each paper".....this one!! "he grabbed a small notepad that had pages of conversions, formulas, and theories" alright...... "he rolled his chair to the computer and typed away"

A pair of arms wrapped around him and snatched the notes from his hand "Well, well what do we have here Shiku-chan?" Freya asked and peered at the various notes.

"kuru was startled as the notes were taken from him" its nothing...just a bunch of experiments and such thats all "he fixed his glasses and sipped the coffee"

"I see, you have quite the build up." she said, gesturing at the table as she took out a highlighter. She found another chair and flopped down and rolled over to where he was.

yeah. "he laughed and rubbed his head" the one you have in your hand there is for a cybernetic suit

She nodded "Interesting." she mumbled and leaned back. "Much too technical for me though." she added and handed him back his notes.

She pressed her foot on his chair and shoved it to the other side of the room. "Hmph whatever, there's nothing wrong with being traditional." she said and stuck her tongue out.

"kuru drug his feet to slow down" is that what its called, being traditional? you know the first step to overcoming a problem is to admit you have a problem....do you have a problem freya? "he smiled and walked over to another lab table. typing a few keys a 3d model of the cyber suit popped up"

"Shiku don't make me throw you at the wall." she said with a slight pout on her face. She rolled her chair over and looked at teh suit.

thats what i love about you freya....always ready for violence "kuru shook his head and continued to type" the suit is meant to help with healing and illnesses, although it has the potential to increase the users strength, speed, endurance, and senses making them 10x stronger. a day in this suit could cure a illness that effected someone all there life

"Hm so you've already tested it then?" she asked and moved around in the chair to examine it.

She rolled back over and frowned "Shiku I know that tone, it's a tone I use. You haven't tested it..." she said and crossed her arms.

"kuru sighed and unbuttoned his vest" im not a liar........"he unbuttoned his shirt and showed her his chest there was a large scar across his body going from his left shoulder to his right side waist" believe me, its tested

Her frowned deepened as she saw the wound "Idiot I should hit you." she said and crossed her arms. "Was someone with you when you tested it then?" she asked.

"kuru laughed and buttoned his shirt up" it was kind of a spare of the moment thing. the suit was still in trial and error but...something happened. an explosion occurred sending a large piece of shrapnel flying toward me. i tried to manipulate the material in the metal but it was too pure. i slowed it enough as to not cut me in half. "kuru put is vest back on and buttoned it up" i was bloodied and near death. my only chance was the suit....so i put it on

She leaned over and pinched his shoulder "No doing testing without me around. Jeez Shiku-chan and I thought I was bad." she said and shook her head.

She pouted "Don't be mean. I am highly talented with traditional magic and research. Hmph I can at least make sure you're healed properly without scars." she said.

"As if, I have my own labs thank you very much. One at the shop and another at home. I don't need your stupid tech gear to conduct research." she said.

but your lab isnt like my lab, my lab has the latest in technology and it even co functions with magical research. simply put my lab is number one "kuru through up one finger"

She shot a small ball of fire at his hair "I heard that." she said and let her flames die down. "Hmph you're so cruel to me Shiku-chan." she said and looked away. "I kindly offer my help and instead of being grateful you insult my precious lab." she sniffled softly, her hair shadowed her eyes as a stray tear ran down her cheek.

"kuru ducked the fireball and looked at freya" those tears....dont work. you're a high;y skilled assassin trained in the arts of deception,stealth, and death...and you want me to believe that tear "kuru dug in his ear and turned back to the computer and started to type" its not like you weren't already welcome to my lab whenever "he sighed and continued to type" but i guess i will call yo first before i do test and everything

She pouted, wiping the "tear" away she glared at his back. "Meany." she mumbled and began slowly spinning. "That tear was a great one, a work of pure genius and sorrow and you ignored it like it was nothing."

thats my point. only an assassin would say that a tear was great work of genius...by the way. do you remember when i was doing that experiment to turn elements into a crystallized form?

She stopped spinning and nodded "Yeah I think so, why?" she asked and rolled over to him. "Did it not work or something?"

"kuru stopped typing and went over to a black case sitting on another lab table. he opened it and inside was a bunch of crystals sitting on pedestals" well i got them crystallized. now the problem lies in cutting them on and off "kuru grabbed a blue one" in the hands of someone such as one of us oraion students "he applied a small amount of energy and the stone released a constant blast of water" if we apply a small amount of our energy as a power source we can get an unlimited stream of the element "kuru applied some more energy and the water stopped" i think these stones would work great in your magical research

She picked up a red one and examined it "Hm more than likely." she mumbled as she took out her notebook. "Hmm I wonder..?" she said and flipped through the book.

"Kuru smiled" see!! We work good as lab partners.....I'm the better partner but partners none the less "kuru tried to take a look at her notebook" so what's that?

She shot another fireball at him for his comments. "My notebook, unlike your messy pile, I like to keep my stuff organized and stay up to date on my projects." she said.

"Kuru ducked the fireball and smiled patting some smoke from his hair" but mess makes best. What kind of project you working on......partner

"Currently working on a classified project, but I'm trying to do two other side projects since that one takes a bit of time. One I was going to see about using a blue fairy to accelerate the vegetation and see if that can be merged to other things but the fairy escaped after Bruce knocked me out of the tree, then I was checking to see how my shadow powers effect ecosystems but that was interrupted by a wandering Aki." she explained and leaned back.

Classified? Where's the trust......"kuru rubbed his head and sighed" are you going to try and catch another? And is it just me or do your projects get interrupted a lot? "Kuru typed on his computer pulling up some information on shadows he had collected a while ago"

She sighed "Yeah, there always seems to be something, work, Yami drinking potions he shouldn't drink, Yu-kun turning into a child, more work, helping Yume and then meeting Bruce who is now bonded to me. Yep my life is pretty busy." she said and started spinning again.

"Kuru shook his head and continued his work" like I said, those stones are yours too use as you wish. I hope you are able to finish some work. If you can't, I don't mind such smart good looking company "kuru laughed and wrote in a notebook" even if you are tech intolerant

A vent above the two opened up and Artemis came falling out. "Freya I'm here! Who made you cry, my big brother senses felt a disturbance and I knew you needed me." he said and grabbed her hand.

She looked at him, then up at the vent "Did you just break in through the vent?" she asked and looked back at him. "And I wasn't crying idiot. Shiku-chan was being mean to me...and I find it weird how you can sense when I'm "crying"." she said.

"kuru raised an eyebrow and turned toward the two and closed the notebook"....you do know theres a door right? i think he has a little sister complex "kuru walked over to artemis and checked his retinas and throat" its a common disorder in big brothers, the lack of being around women there own age causes them to fall for there younger sisters, confusing the adoration that the younger sibling has with love of another quality "kuru teased" its treatable if im not mistaken

"AHA so you're the reason my little goddess was crying...wait...I do not have a sister complex." he said and glared at him. "I am around plenty of women my own age brat. Is this a friend of yours Freya, I don't like him I don't think you should hang around him....alone." he said and crossed his arms.

"Honestly Artemis you're being rude. I thought you were off the island for work." she said and sighed softly.

She giggled behind her hand. "Shiku-chan stop teasing him or he might explode in anger." she said.

"Kuru laughed and stood up" alright I'll stop. We coolz bro? "Kuru smiled"

"I will burn you and this place to the ground." he said, arms crossing as he turned away.

She shook her head "Stop sulking Artem, now really what are you doing here? I thought you were gonna be gone a bit longer for a job and doing some shifts at the hospital." she said

How about a gift? Will that help the healing process artem?

He looked over his shoulder "Perhaps...perhaps your little gift will soothe my hurt feelings." he answered and looked at Freya. "I was working but I was suddenly pulled off the job, Uncle Boris took it over. Then I did some shifts at the hospital and decided to come back here and that was when my big brother senses told me there was a disturbance."

"kuru laughed and walked into another room, coming back with three small vials of liquid" here you go "kuru handed artem the vials each was labeled" one syrum will grant incredible speed for five minutes, one will grant camouflage for five minutes and the last one will grant complete awareness for five minutes "kuru smiled again and sat in his chair"

"Hm, weird. It's unusual for uncle to get involved, he handles the more delicate cases so I guess whatever you were tasked with stealing became high priority." she said.

"Oooo cool. Ahem well then I suppose these will make up for your rudeness." he said and pocket the vials.

Kuru shook his head and turned his chair toward the lab table and went back to work
