Blazizng Cave

Homura ran into the cave looking around excited. "This place is awesome!" She skipped around bouncing on the hot rocks. "Lets see if we can find this thing." She flew off quickly before the boys could stop her deep into the cave.

"jasper flew into the cave carrying xero by the arms" where do you think this. cats cradle is? "jasper dropped xero and landed with his hands in his pocket"

Well these types of places always have a lot a chambers and somethin big and ugly, so my guess we find the big and ugly, we find the cats cradle. *xero said looking around.* uh on that note we should catch up with Homura.

Homura was far enough in front of the guys she couldn't see or hear them, not could they see of hear her. She skipped slowly through the dark caves. She ran her hand along the wall and heard a click. Suddenly the wall started to move and she fell through a hidden door, that promptly closed behind her.

Hey homura where did you run off to. *xero called out as the boys wondered the cave.*
Homura!

Homura was sprawled on the floor rubbing her head. It was dark wherever she was. She pulled herself up to sitting and looked around. Holding her head with one hand, she summoned a fire ball with the other to get some light in the chamber she was in. "Big brother?" she whispered. Not seeing how she got in, or how to get out she looked around a bit. She started calling out, "Jasper! Xero! Where are you guys!"

The heat inside the cave began to increase, Well who exactly are you and why have you entered into my cave? a voice said from behind Homura. Bothersome girl have you come here to perhaps steal from me? the voice was angry but amusement could also be heard.

"jasper searched the hall but couldn't find homura" where the hell did she go? "jasper began to get nervous, sniffing around for her scent" i-i can smell her but cant find her

Homura's head spun looking for the voice. The warmth of the cave was fairly comforting to the fire dragon. She bit her lip addressing the voice, "Ummm I came in looking for something. I didn't mean to steal anything. I was just sent on a treasure hunt." She said fairly straghtforeward.

The Flame Prince shook his head, Treasure hunting, stealing to me it is all the same. You've come in here to take something of mine. That is something I do not find acceptable.

"jasper continued to search going from nervous to frantic." HOMURA!!

Homura tilted her head at the flame prince obviously not good at lying, nor understanding subtly. "I didn't know I was stealing." She said truthfully. "But I was told I needed to find something, so I came looking for it. I didn't know someone lived here." The increased heat had brought out both her wings and tail, as she talked to the flame prince.

And what is it you so desperately need to find? he questioned, brow rising at the girls tail and wings. "Ah a dragon, an element of fire. Most would wither away to a crisp in the heat I create."

"Already lost a member I see?" a male voice questioned Jasper. "How dissappointing, you should keep much better watch on your friends, you never know who might take them." the voice was somewhat deep, with a foregin accent to it. He stepped out of the shadows, black jeans and a black sweater despite the heat, a leather collar around his neck and a white porcelin mask covered his face. "Are you the team sent to retrieve the cats cradle?"

Homura smiled at his comment about the heat. "I love the heat! But I guess thats what I get for fire basically running through my veins!" Her tail scratched her head lightly, "What was that thing called again....ummmmm the cat's cradle? That sounds right!" She looked up at the prince again. She tilted her head lightly, "I don't know what it is or why I'm supposed to find it, I just am."

o Jasper! any luck finding homura or the cats cradle.......who the hell are you! *xero ran up to jasper after looking around by himself and noticed the other man standing*

The man frowned behind his mask "I believe I asked a question...but I shall answer yours. You may call me Clover, I would be the back up your teacher reuqested." he answered.

Homura stared at the flame prince waiting for a response. She finally asked, "How did I end up here anyways? I mean I know I was in the cave looking for the cats cradle thing." She tilted her head.

You fell through a trap I created, I do not like people trespassing here. As for what you're searching for I know of this item. A very nice object that I do not intend to let you have" he said

Clover sighed "Really, never send children to do a thiefs job." he muttered to himself. "Not important, I'm here to help that's all that matters. We need to find the Cats cradle and your friend Girlscout."

Homura pouted slightly. "I don't like being trapped. I don't supposed you'll let me go if I ask." She started looking around for some sort of exit. After a minute she stopped and looked around, "At least its nice and warm here, and I'm sure big brother will come find me."

*xero looked at him with a untrusting look* ok dude whatever. look we have to find homura before we do anythin eles. teamamtes are top of the list in my book.

"Hm well Girlscout is not my priority, my objective is the Cats Cradle." he said and began to walk off "Perhaps she's already dead or maybe she's found the Cats Cradle already, either way the object is more important."

The flame prince shook his head, "Sorry if I let you leave you may bring others here. So I'll have to get rid of you now before more annoyances pop up."

Homura's eyes narrowed on the flame prince, "Get rid of me? How do you think you're going to get rid of me?" A flame licked around her body as her temperature rose as she moved in a defensive way. She continued to glare at him. "I won't let you do anything to me."

*xero looked at the man walk off* if you were sent here by request of the teacher then you would know that a students lift is worth way more then some stupid item! *he yelled to clover. After that he sensed homura's energy raising.* jasper, you feel that?

He perched his chin on his hand and sighed, "Yes it will be quite hard seeing as you're a fire dragon. I suppose physical violence will be the only way to get rid of you. smiling at the idea he unsheathed his sword.

Homura watched him pull out the sword as she bit her lower lip. She conjured a blade of fire to be able to block his blade, for as long as she could. "I don't intend on dying here." she growled one hand shifting to claws as fire licked around her. She lunged at the prince, not one to wait to be attacked.

The Prince jumped out of the way, snapping his fingers rings of fire began to surround the girl Would be much easier if you just give up now girl.

Homura skittered off having missed the prince and glared at the rings of fire surrounding her. "Maybe it would be easier, but I can't die." Her mind raced back to Ren, she had to get home safe. She slashed at the rings of fire with her claws, trying to stay in this form as long as she could bear it. She conjured several fire balls and hurled them at the prince.

The prince held his hands out, he covered the fireballs with his own energy and soon they became harmless to him as he absorbed them. "We'll both have to do better than that child." he said, clutching his sword he dashed forward and slashed at her.

Homura lept back into the air avoiding the slash. Re conjuring the blade of flame she flew at the prince slashing at his chest. Meanwhile her tail snaked around his ankle attempting to catch him off guard.

He dodged the sword attack, feeling something curl around his ankle he toppled to the ground. He quickly put up a shield of flames around his form and sent a blast of molten hot fire at her.

Homura unwrapped her tail at the sheild of fire, and dived out of the way to avoid the bulk of the molten hot fire. Feeling it clip her she grimaced. She turned back to the prince, "Fire vs. Fire, this is going to be a hard fight to end." She shifted into her full dragon form, "Lets see how you handle this form." She roared and dashed at the prince shooting a jetstream of fire as she approached.

He rose into the air, with a grin. "A hard fight but fully worth it when I defeat you." he replied. He covered his entire body with fire until he was a giant flickering flame. "If you're gonna go all out then I will have to match it." he spread his body around the entire room covering it with fire. Once done he began shooting spikes of fire at her.

Mura watched him spread all the way around the room. She looked for a spot to focus on. Seeing spikes of fire come at her she roared again, flames licking their way around her form acting as a shield. She dashed to where the prince had started spreading his from from and swung a fire coated tail at the flames.

He hissed when her tail swung into him, throwing him into a flame covered wall which luckily softened the impact. He landed down on the ground, he pressed the palm of his hand against the ground and flaming rocks were chucked at her.

Homura tried to dodge the rocks, but she felt a few sear into her wings. Her tail swept out in anger, before she spun to face the prince again. Roaring she coated her body in fire and ran at him at full speed.

*xero heard the chashing of blades and wonder where it was coming from* to has, I think homura(s in trouble. If we follow those sounds we should find her.

"jasper was too busy sniffing around looking for homura to pay attention to clover" where...WHERE!! "jasper stopped at a spot on the ground " HERE!! "jasper released a gas that eroded the ground" HOMURA!! "jasper slammed both hands into the ground destroying the rest of it, sending xero and jasper falling to the area homura was in"

Whoa!!!!! *xero landed on his back but wasnt injured bably by the fall. He got up to see homur fighting* homura! Whats goin on here?! *xero asked taking out his blades and goin over to stand next to her.*

They saw Mura in her full dragon form, running at something. Her body was coated in her own flames. Her voice filled their heads, "This guy knows about the cats cradle and was going to dispose of me."

"jasper run onto the other side on homura, still in his human form, but with claws and tail extended"

He jumped out of the way, glaring at them "How utterly annoying, as I thought more people here to steal from me." he said angrily nd sent flaming spikes at them.

Homura crashed into the wall of fire when the prince jumped out of the way. She spun around and Roared again. She Jumped in the way of the flame spikes blocking them from hitting the others. She grimmaced as they sunk into her. "I won't let you hurt them either." she growled shoting a blast of fire back at him.

*xero jumped up high a kicked one of the pointed rock that Hung off the ceiling of the cave at the flame prince. Then launched off a blade of energy at him as well before he landed* hey jasper, what did I tell you? Find the big and ugly and we find what we're lookin for.

He knocked the blast away. Hearing the boys words he immediately turned back into his normal form. "Ugly?! I am in no way ugly. I am the prince of flames you impudent child."

Homura took the moment that he turned back into his normal form to wrap her tail around his waist. "I have to admit I like that form better, easier to grab." The red dragon smirked through the gritted teeth from the fire spikes.

Oh struck a nerve huh? Well ok in the form you not but that big thing you turn into is U.G.L.Y as heck. *xero trash talked to the prince*

The prince twitched in the girls grasp. "How dare you. That form is of the highest caliber. It is filled with pride, strength and isn't in any way ugly.!" he shouted, one of the spikes inHomura shot out towards Xero.

*xero kicked the spike away then jumped towards the prince while he was still wrapped up in homura's tile to punch him in the face*

After Xero punched him in the face, she squeezed the prince tighter in her tail. Then she slammed him into the ground.

"Well I see leaving you kids alone to do things has gotten out of hand." Clover said, smirking behind his mask he wrapped the Prince in shadows and vanished him free of the girls tail.

Homura shifted back to human form and stared at the new person. "He started it. He said he was going to get rid of me. I was just defending myself." She crossed her arms. "Its not like I meant to get stuck down here."

He frowned "Quite unfortunate." he said boredly and turned his attention to the flame Prince. "My lord I am sorry that these childish antics were forced upon you. We simply come for the Cats Cradle. I believe with all of your great treasures that you would not miss this one item.' he said charmingly.

Oh you again. What do you want?

He glared at the girl "I believe you started it when you entered my home." he shot back, the ends of his hair sparking a bit. He turned his attention to Clover. "Clearly a person with manners much better. Now do you mask your face? I find it highly annoying."

Homura's face flushed in embaressement. She bowed forward to the prince. "I...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to stumble into your home." She stayed bowed forward in apology.

Clover shook his head, "Clearly I am here to fix the mess you three have created." he said to Xero. "My identity is unimportant, you may call me Clover my lord." he said with a swift bow.

Probably just as ugly as you are. *xero laughted* now give us the cats cradle and we'll leave or do we have to take it the hard way either way is good with me.

Clover swatted the back of his head, "Red Eyes shut up." he hissed down to him and turned to face the flame Prince. "What my company means is we would perfer to leave you in peace. We only wish to have the Cats Cradle."

Homura wrapped her tail around Xero's mouth. She looked back up at the prince. "And I am truly sorry for imposing on your home. I didn't mean to fall down here. I am sorry that my hot headed nature meant I was hostile at first. I do hope you accept my apology."

*xero. Cut his eyes to the left to show that he would shut up and leave it to them and also to say "yea sure let's go with that" then crossed his arms and stood quitly*

The flame prince crossed his arms. "Hmph I see. The girl seems to be genuine in her apology. I accept it. I too apologize for my rash behavior, it was rude of someone of my stature." he replied reluctantly. "Though I dislike the boy, he is too outspoken and does not judge is words carefully. As for the Cats Cradle I don't think I'll be handing it over so easily."

Homura looked at the prince. "Is it something that is important to you?" She tilted her head lightly. "Why do you wish to keep it so close, your majesty?" She was genuinely curious.

*xero balled up his fist and clapped it into his,other hand at what he heard then shot a look at the prince as to say "hard way it is then" but couldn't get out of homura's grip*

"BEcause it is mine, I need no other reason to not give it to you. The real question is why exactly do you want it?" he asked, watching Xero warily.

Homura held onto Xero tightly with her tail to keep him from rushing the prince again. Homura scratched her head at the princes question. She didn't really know the answer to the question. They had just been told to retrive it. "I did not mean to be rude with my question. I was merely curious as to why it was dear to you." She said with a bow of her head to the prince. "I am a treasure hunter by nature, so I understand holding onto things that are precious."

"The Cats Cradle is a dangerous artifact. Left in your hands I am sure nothing but trouble would arise. It would be better to just hand it over now and not pick a fight." Clover said, arms crossing. "Trust me I'd rather take it peacefully instead of by force."

*xero crossed his arms again and stood there* ok mura-chan you let me go I won't do anythin I promise. *xero thought to himself hoping homura would hear it like when she's in her dragon form*

Homura heard Xero's thoughts and loosened her grip, only after giving him a look. She looked at the Prince again hoping they can resolve this peacefully.

He nodded "I know it is dangerous. That's why I like it, it's mine and I refuse to hand it over. Now that, that has been said you all may leave my home." he said dismissively.

Ok ok would you like to trade then? *xero asked try hard to keep it peaceful*

He raised an eyebrow with interest "A trade? How cute, I believe I will humor you. What can you offer me for the Cats Cradle?"

Ever heard of the "Nova Star Knights" I have a lot of their old treasure it should be worth somethin compared to the cats cradle. *xero said laying a bunch of his familys stuff out so the prince could look at them* what do you say?

The flame Prince went over and began looking at hte objects. "Hmm how interesting..." he murmured.

There's a bunch of object that I'm sure you would like. *xero said entering con man mode* look swords, antiques and even cursed item's.

Clover quietly made his way past them and vanished.

"Ahh cursed objects, I have very few of those in my collection." he muttered and picked up a sword.

Homura noticed the other man disappear but kept her full attention at the fire prince and Xero. Watching with a smile.

"jasper watched clover disappear but said nothing"

Ahh that a great object. It said that its the sword was use to cause the down fall of "Nova Star Knights" and put them into shame. It's the greatest of unlucky tools. *xero said sounding more and more like Sellsmen.*

"jasper looked at the treasures and couldn't help (due to him being a dragon) wanting something" hey can i have this "jasper picked up a shiny platinum crown encrusted with blue, red, and white jewels" took too long to answer im keeping it "jasper put the crown on his head and walked back to where homura was"

The looked fascinated by the sword, examining it from all angles "An unfortunate tool indeed. I must have this in my collection if has such an interesting history."

Homura smiled at Jasper as he came back with the crown. Her own dragon instinct had her distracted by it as well. "Can I see it sometime?" she asked him lightly. She watched the prince become fascinated by the sword as well.

Well its yours for only one thing.....the cats cradle. What do you say? *xero asked trying to seal the deal*

"jasper nudged homura with his shoulder" whats mine is yours lil sis "he smiled and looked back to the prince, awaiting his response"

"Hmm such a relic, but to trade my Cats Cradle for just this one thing. I don't think so!" he said and set the sword aside.

Ok ill throw in it sister shield As well. *xero said tryin to keep the princes attention* mura-chan can you still hear me? *he thought so homura could read his mind again*

homura nodded lightly whereshe stood. "yeah i can still hear you. what is it?" she asked in his mind

"Oh how wonderful then, is the shield also cursed?" he questioned excitedly. Picking up the shield to examine it as well.

well in a way, as it was use along with the sword so yes it is. *xero told the prince* listen up mura-chan, the prince is playin hard ball so we might have to go to plan B. have jasper ready to take the cats cradle if the prince does this deal and get ready to run, ok? *told homura through thought*

homura nodded. okay we'll be ready. she replied

"jasper heard everything loud and clear giving a nod to them both. he kept his eyes on the cats cradle and nothing else"

Clover returned to the area, seeing that they were still debating he smiled behind his mask. "My lord I believe that is a very good del, who else will be able to boast they own not one but two objects with a cursed history. It would be foolish to pass up on this."

The Prince looked thoughtful, he weighed his options and leaned back against the wall. "Two cursed objects for the Cats Cradle...hmm I believe that is a good deal." he said with a grin. "The masked one is right, I must have these for my collection!"

*xero smiled* sold! jasper grab the cradle, lets get out of here. *xero said packing up everything but the sword and shield*

"jasper nodded, grabbing the cats cradle jasper walked back to where he was"

The prince picked up the objects, smirking. "Well very nice of you to visit but I believe it's time for you to leave." he said dismissively.

"jasper stuck his tongue out at the prince" c'mon guys we got what we came for "jasper headed out, grabbing xero and flying up through the hole he made and waited for homura"

Mura bowed to the prince one last time. She spread her wings and flew up next to jasper. She smiled at him brightly.

Clover watched the group leave, "It has been a fun time my lord, but I must leave as well." bowing he opened a shadow and vanished into it.

The Flame Prince grinned, "Ha I am a genius! I walk away with two new items and they take a fake artifact." he said to himself, chuckling he turned and went to a hidden room within the cave to put away the new weaponry. He went to go check on the real Cats Cradle when he noticed it was missing. "Thos thieving brats!" he yelled, fire covering his hair. "Hmph I will get them one day for this trickery." he vowed

come on guys lets get this back to Artemis-sama and get back to the school. *xero said as they flew out of the cave and back to the meeting site. when they landed xero was smiling at the fact that he just tricked the prince by selling him his own stull anf walked away with some other stuff he could sell to make money* yo teach! you here?

"jasper tilted the crown on his head and smiled" this things too awesome

Homura looked around, "where did the other guy go?" she asked lightly "Who was he anyways?"

some dude that just appeared really. *xero sadi taking all of the stuff he stole from the prince to see what he would vaule it at* lets see that crown would have got me alot but i guess you can have it. *he said to jasper then tossed homura a gold and silver ring with a big red stone in it* here mura-chan you can have that for your great work. the rest is goin to bring me a fortrune!!!!! *he said letting his greed get the best of him again*
