Title: Gallows' Hill
Post by: Kaya Mitsume on June 30, 2012, 06:58:19 pm
So named for the events that it was built for, an old rotting wood gallows sits atop the gentle hill in a macabre semblage of a crown. Dirty rope still hangs from the cross beam, like a reminder of what had come to pass.

A wall of granite sits not far from the hangman's contraption. On this wall there are hash marks carved into it. They total up to the number 56. It wouldn't be odd to assume that this is the number of deaths this place has seen.

It's an abnormally large number for a relatively small town. The question could be begged of why such a small place would need so medieval a device to be built. Small towns were supposed to peaceful and safe places. Right?
