Shinji stood outside of the tea store watching the snow fall, his gloved hands crossed hhis chest he was at least two hours early, he was beyond excited. He wanted everthing to go.perfect.

Mika walked up the road to the tea shop. Wearing a dark peacoat over her normal dark dress. Her hair blew softly in the wind as she walked up the street. Looking up at the signs of the shops as she passed. She was coming to meet Shinji, and he had told her to meet him at a specific tea shop. Her eyes settling on Shinji she smiled softly. "Hello there Shinji."

Both individuals feel the weight of eyes upon them. Sensory abilities and magicks fail to find this presence.

Shinji smiled as he Mika voice." Come on. I think your going to enjoy it here." Shinji said as he hold the door for mika.
Shinji felt like he was being watched, looking around and seeing anything shinji shruged his shoulders

Mika's wings twitched lightly as she felt eyes on her. Looking around quickly, she stretched her wings and folded them back up behind her. She walked in through the door being held open for her. She smiled lightly, still shaking off the feeling from outside. "I'm sure it will be great. I certainly like tea."

Shinji llooked around one last time before walking innto the tes shop." They havve thhis rreally great tea... butt i cant remembeer the name."

The sensation heightens to near paranoia inducing levels, as if that gaze burrowed into flesh, there between her wings and his shoulder blades. A whisper, like that of one's own conscience, murmured through Mika's head. "He's still chasing you, and he doesn't even realize that he's been sullied. That he willingly went to another woman. That he knows you not well enough to know it wasn't you. You're interchangeable. Just a warm piece of...well, you know the phrase." Said that voice, almost mimicking her own internal tone.

Her wings refuse to quell their subtle shaking as they enter the tea shop. Nodding lightly as he spoke of the tea. Her eyes widened slightly as the conscience like voice passed through her head. Her fist clenched at the thought. He didn't know, he couldn't know....but still even the thought of that made her blood boil. He was courting her again, and even when they had been together, he hadn't known it wasn't her. Shaking her head lightly she looked at Shinji. "If you can't remember the name of the tea maybe the waitress could help?" She suggested trying to shake the thoughts from her head.

"I really hope so it was like an explosion of flavor." Shinji aaid he waallked to aa table and pulled mika chair out."Mi'lady." Shinji said in a horriblle British accent.

Again that voice comes. "So charming, isn't he. He likely hasn't told you that he's become someone's pet. Her little pet mage. She really is very fond of the things that he does for her. And he does everything she asks for. Every single thing. He does like to pleasure his lady." Funny how the words echoed the poor attempt at chivalry Shinji had just made. "And then? Then he decided to follow your dear, dear friend. All at her behest. She plans to hurt this Hunter fellow. His lady does. She'll use him to do it. And it sure seems that the mageling won't care if it would be a joyful thing to his mistress."

Mika laughed lightly as he pulled out the chair with his accent. "Thank you." She was taking her seat as the voice came back. Biting her lip her eyes widened again. A faint wave of nausea swept over her at the voice's words. Shinji was at the beck and call of a woman who thought of him as her pet. He liked to pleasure... She shook her head weaving a hand through her hair. She stared at Shinji, he couldn't could he?
She dug her nails into her leg lightly as the voice mentioned Hunter. Shinji had been following him? At the order of this woman? Her grey eyes fell steely in their color. This woman intended to hurt Hunter? Shinji would be used to hurt Hunter all for this mistress of his. Her eyes narrowed slightly as her body shook. Wait...how did this voice know this? How could she know any of this? Was her mind getting away from her? But it seemed so true, everything. A bolt of pain rocketed through her head as her mind tried to rationalize and headache set in.

The voice was comforting. "A woman always knows. Her intuition always tells her. And this city brings the truth to light. You are female, your instincts do not lead you wrong. And this man is a different man than you thought he was. He would not care about hurting Hunter at her behest. It would get him what he wants, in the end. You alone. Without one that truly cares for you. Isolated. Desolate. Lost." It spoke the words so softly to her.

Shinji smiled and satin hiis seat across from mika aand pick up his menu." I think i'll grreen tea withh honey and brown sugar. What aboutyou mika?" Shinji ask, he never looked up from the menu.

Her body continued to show signs of the struggle in her mind. This city brings truth to light? Trust her instincts, she couldn't fault the advice, but this was Shinji. He had never done anything to hurt anyone before. She had seen him get mad though, and that was always dangerous, but Shinji had never purposely hurt someone before. Would he really hurt Hunter at his mistress's will. Could he want to please her that much as to hurt someone he didn't know? If Hunter was gone, where would she be...alone, lost. She would lost the one she gave everything up for to bring back. Even the thought of that, especially at the hands of Shinji, made her quake. She rubbed a temple lightly trying to dull the pain in her mind as the threads that held the delicate balance of her mind began to strain. Hearing Shinji's question, she looked at him reading the menu. "That sounds good....I'll have the same." she mumbled softly.

Shinji looked up from the menu, his voice laced with worry." Are you ok Mika?" He put his menu down and looked at her.

Trying to keep her voice as steady as possible she nodded. Smiling as best as she could, she raised her eyes to meet his. "I'm okay. Just a headache is all. I'm sure it'll pass"

((Pass. I'll let the two engage in idle chitchat for a bit. Mika's headache does not abate, but nor does it become more intense. It allows her to focus, but if she questions the reasons for what she's hearing or brings them up to Shinji, the pain sharpens until it takes her thoughts.))

"Oh... if you say so.." shinjii looked at mika but said nothing.

Mika rubbed her temple lightly trying to shake off the feeling that had settled over her. The words still swirling about in her head as she tried to make sense of them. She gave Shinji a lightly smile. "I'm fine, I get headaches on occasions. So what tea did you say you were having. Green tea with honey and brown sugar. That sounds good to me."

Shinji look at mika." Yea..is there anything else you would like?"

Mika picked up the menu and looked over the selection of sweets. There were some nice looking cakes on the menu. She knew Shinji right? He couldn't be what she was hearing. Keeping her eyes on Shinji trying to see what the voice was telling her she spoke quietly, "Hmm...your the one that's been here. Is there any cake that is particularly good?" She asked quietly.

" I never really tried the cakes, so Im no help." He looked around and waved down a waitress.

Mika smiled lightly. "Well then I'll just have to try one for myself. I think i'll go with the strawberry shortcake." She smiled and put the menu down. She folded her hands in her lap. "So what brought you to be familiar with this tea shop?"

"I met someone here.. they helped me with my nightmares." Shinji grew quiet, he would not lie to mika, even if she hated the answer.

Her eyes widened slightly at his response. He met someone here, who helped him with nightmares? Who was it that he met. Was it this mistress he served? Why was she automatically jumping to this conclusion....but his sudden quieting of his voice made her uneasy. Shinji didn't normally lie....should she ask him? She started to ask, but the headache grew as she did. She clenched a fist in her lap. "I see. Well at least the helped. Nightmares can be painful."

Shinji clinched his hand into a fist, his nails digging into his plam under the table. This was would be enough this pain he was putting himself through , it would have to for now." Yea but i would take the nightmares now."

Mika listened to him. Was it the truth? Or did was he telling her what would make her vulnerable. The Shinji she had known... She tried to smile at him. "Nightmares aren't things to take lightly. It can be better not to deal with them."

Shinji looked down, if she only." Maybe..." the waitress finally came and shinji gave there order. Honestly, shinji would glady take the nightmares over this, he was close to losing all of his hope.

Mika looked down. There was something he wasn't telling her, but asking probably wasn't a good thing. She was happy to have the order placed. He had looked so happy just a few minutes ago, but the whole air changed. Looking for a way to shake the unease and lighten the mood, or at least to try she looked at Shinji. "So tell me more things about yourself Shinji."

Shinji looked at her, a smirked played at his lips." What about a game instand? We both say 3 things qbout are self but one of them is a lie, we have to geuss which one is the lie."

That voice, which had grown quiet, spoke up again. "As if he is not speaking enough mistruths and fabrications, now he wishes to make a game of it? He is trying to get information about you. To get you tell him things, things that he and his mistress will use against you, against Hunter. Ask him about following Hunter." The voice told her.

Mika tensed slightly as the voice returned. He wanted to play a game of truths and lies, but her mind was sending red flags. The voice being the strongest of those. Her fingers drummed against her leg lightly. Ask him about following hunter? She bit her lip lightly. "Truths and lies huh. Well what if the lie is easily distinguishable. Like I am a spy, tracking people. With these wings of mine I don't stick out in a crowd." She trained those grey eyes of hers up to him, urged on by the voice she took a breath. "Have you ever done something like that? Follow someone in particular?" She wasn't sure she wanted the answer, but the voice told her to trust her instincts. She had to ask. She could feel her mind itself shake, as she fought with her view of shinji from before, and the one in her mind right now, on top of worrying about Hunter.

The smirk vanish, shinji bite the inside of his mouth." Yes. I have, its one of the reason why i would weather deal with my nightmares." Shinji looked away from her, he though the deals would emd atfer atfer that but they didn't.

She felt her body shake. He had admitted to following someone, for this person who had helped him with his nightmares. Was is really who the voice said it was? She looked at Shinji that lingering headache still there. Pushing her hair back over her shoulder the questions swirled in her mind. "Who...who did you follow? Was there.....a reason why?" She wanted to know, she had to know, if the voice was telling her the truth.

"I.. I told her i would not hate anyone no matter what, that as soon i repaid her that i was done..." shinji said he didn't want to talk about this." His name was hunter, I dont remember his last name... I think i should leave." Shinji didn't move, he was staring at the floor self hatred rolling off him, each second he stayed the more he could feel his self losing hope.

Mika stared at Shinji unable to speak for a moment. He had followed Hunter, for his mistress. Her stomach dropped, he said he wouldn't hurt anyone, but his mistress used him to gather information of him. Her Shinji wouldn't have done this would he? Then again her Shinji hadn't even known it was her. Her head and heart ached, not from the voice but her own thoughts and feelings eager to crush the very fabric of what held her together. She raises cloudy grey eyes to see Shinji staring at the floor. Her hands shook as they found her temple. Finding a shaky voice she shook her head. "I see."

Shinji stood up."I hate myself, for everything that happen since i made that deal. It was like a part of yself died. But i have no one to blame but myself, so I you this please forgot me and everything that happen here you'll never see me again." Shinji walked towards the door.

In front of the mage, the rangy man he'd followed at the behest of Zatira stood, his fists clenching repeatedly. The muscle in his jaw ticked as it became more than apparent that he clenched his jaw. His green eyes were locked on the man in front of him, and that long stride took him closer to Shinji. With a certain amount of alacrity, his hands shot out, aiming to hook themselves into the front of the clothing Shinji wore. His voice was low as he addressed the younger boy. "Tell me now why it is that I shouldn't rip you apart." Hunter stepped closer to him, getting into his personal space. It's an intimidating thing, having the six foot, and very angry man all but towering over him. "You bring her here, you allow something to happen to her mind, you put her in danger and then you were going to walk from her and leave her helpless? What sort of man are you? Or are you simply a f*cking fool?" Hunter shoved away from him, likely before giving into the desire to hit the boy. "Go back to your mistress and continue being a tool. Keep away from her, idiot child. You don't deserve her. And spare me if you're going to offer to let me do it, and cry on my shoulder. I have little sympathy for a child playing dangerous adult games. Run home."
Hunter skirted around the target of his current fury, and moved to the still huddled Mika. One of the many braided pieces of tanned leather on his wrist were pulled from it, and slipped over her far more delicate one, a bead being slid forward, bracelet tightened. Peace found her mind, though it couldn't help with her own feelings and thoughts, only other forces. "Hey, little angel. Time to go home. Time to get out of here where you'll be safe. We've still got that chicken soup, and there was a movie you wanted me to see. Let's get back to the main island and watch that. C'mere." He spoke softly, soothingly, none of the anger and fury in his voice, even his face smoothed over. He gathered her closer into his arms, already looking to locate her coat and slip it around her, though he remained close, as well.

Shock spread across shinji, blinking the shock he grabbed the man shoulder pulling him to face him." I dont care what you do to me, hell i deserve it but you do not scare me and i will not stay away from her." Shinji hands were balled into fist shaking with anger. " if I would have know she was in danger , i would have done anything to make sure she was fine."

Hunter didn't allow himself to be torn from Mika, only squeezing her hand with his before turning to face the other male. His words were snarled low, those forest eyes hard and narrowed. "Do not ever again lay your hands on me, mage. Or you will not have hands to do so again. You will stay away from her before you hurt her further. You were walking away from her. Leaving her as she is now, in a city that is unfriendly to most anyone else, and after something has harmed her. You left her to the f*cking sharks! You're going to get her hurt, or you'll get her killed. And the day that you do, Lady Death's judgement will not be the biggest thing that you should fear. I will send you to the Underworld in pieces." Hunter spat at the boy, no false threat here, just a cold and ultimate surety.

"Your right. I should've known better to leave her here and as a man I will admit my mistake but dont you dare act **** high and mighty. Where the **** was YOU when she was turned into a kitten and fight her way out of a paper bag, where the hell was you when she was being dragged around by a **** manic. I was the one who chased down that manic to save her. I was the who made sure she was safe, feed and had a warm bed to sleep in, you **** sasquatch." The fact shinji used such words was only a testment to how angry shinji was.

Mika's eyes had fallen to the table when Hunter had entered. The voices of the two barely pass through the fog of her mind. When the bracelet was tightened and the outside voice shut out, she managed to look up at Hunter when he spoke to her. Those grey eyes of her cloudy and fragile looking. Her coat was hung on the back of her chair. Shaking slightly still she nodded softly. The roar of her own feelings and thoughts still making processing the world challenging, she spoke quietly. "Chicken soup sounds good. Can I eat the soup while we watch the movie?" Her demeanor bordering on how she would have behaved back in the orphanage when she was younger, something that hadn't been seen in years.
As Hunter squeezed her hand she lightly returned the gesture. She turned her eyes back to the table, shutting them tightly at the yelling. Her head hurt as they went back and forth. Biting her lip lightly she curled slightly in the seat she was in still. She tensed at the arguing and at Shinji's comments. The anger between the two was palpable. Cringing from her thoughts and the tension, she kept her eyes down.

A cold sort of smile curved the older man's mouth, and his eyes met Shinji's, answering challenge with his own. "I was trying to protect the island from the b*tch you decided to work for, because your nightmares were so bad. Everyone has them. Everyone lives through their own torture. Only the weaklings give themselves to evil to make them go away. Only the stupid give their souls for a moment of respite. But if you'd like to play this game, let's dance." Hunter looked down at Mika, still against him, his hand stroking over her hair to gain her gaze for moments. There is a small apology to her in his eyes for doing this, but she knew enough of the man as to why he wouldn't let something like it pass.
His eyes slid from Mika's coming back to Shinji's, hard as diamonds and glittering with a similar fire. "Where were you when she was bitten and weakened by a vampire that says he's her brother? That's right, you've been gallivanting with him. Or what about when she sat lonely in the forest. No, that's right, you were with Jasmine, were you not? I have protected her when she's needed me. But I also know that she's her own person, and can make her own decisions. I respect her mind. And last, but not least, I was there when she discovered terrible things about the woman that you've become the pet of. She owns you, mageling. Lock, stock and barrel. And now that you know who I am to Mika, tell me again that the wh*re of Babylon doesn't intend to harm her? You stalked me without ever knowing why. You're worse than a fool. You're a drone." Hunter told him matter of factly, no snarl or growl, nearly conversational in tone.
He turned back to Mika, gathering her close once more, done with the mage and having made his point. He could speak of far more ways he had protected her, but not without delving into things better left to rest. "Yes, angel. You can eat your chicken soup while we cuddle on the couch and watch the movie. I've got a surprise at the house for you." He said low, for her ears only. His fingers flicked a button on his person in a sleight of hand gesture that was hidden behind adjusting his own coat. He begins slowly leading Mika from the shop, unless she wishes to pause or stop for any reason.

Shinji hand relax, hunter was right. He was nothing more than a drone, he was in such a hurry to get out of the deal, he did whatever he was told with qeustion. He lost himself." Y-Your right. What i did was excusable and i will accept any punishment i have too..the things i did ... but i dont ask to be forgivenn because I dont care." Shinji eye filled with determination.
"If you have problem with me being around mika then kill me because only that will stop me. What i did in the past doesn't matter, i will be will not stop Mika is my top priority let heaven, hell hell, gods or demons come i will protect Mika." Shinji voice was calm and loud as if giving an oath. He would die before anything happened to mika.

Mika shook softly as Hunter brought up the painful memories, she knew why he had, but still she shook. Squeezing his hand lightly as he gathered her close. Turning her gaze up to him she gave the hint of a smile, as one hand played with the bracelet around her wrist. "Soup and movies....that sounds nice." her voice was still quiet with a small quiver in it. Her eyes glimmered for a moment at the mention of a surprise. "A surprise?"
Shinji's words made it softly through the haze in her mind, but her own emotions kept swirling around in her head. His oath was heard. She let Hunter continue to lead her away, she couldn't stop, not like this, not today.

Having said what he needed to, and meaning what he'd said, Hunter didn't bother to answer Shinji's words. Instead, he kept his attentive green eyes on Mika. "Mmhmm, a surprise. But you'll have to wait 'til we get back to see. But I already know you'll adore it." He guided her out of the tea shop after getting her into her coat, and both left looking quite clearly like something of a couple. To Shinji's eyes, he watches some sort of shield shimmer around them, his mage's eyes letting him see the thing, though it looked like no magick he'd ever studied or knew of.

Shinji eyes narrowed as he sheild shimmered he never seen anything like that. He made a mental this was not the end of it, not by a long shot. He left the shop everything else forgetten, leaving his jacket it didn't mattered. Only one thing was going through this mind 'I must become stronger'.
