A throat cleared behind them both. When they turned, there was Kaya, shaking her head slightly. She came toward them both, brushing her hand over Miles' shoulder, before she kissed her daughter on the forehead.
"Your daughter is clever. She got an equal measure of both of our intelligence. It's makes her a tricksy little thing." Kaya said, tickling her daughter slightly. "She knows that the you in this timeline and I have already told her that, if she's good, she'll get a puppy for her birthday."
Charlotte only giggled smiling at both parents sunnily.
